What PC games are you playing?

I have officially put Saint's Row the Third down now.

I know it is just a bit of fun, but I found it incredibly tedious....I expected at least a little variety in missions

Might start on Alpha Protocol, whilst I wait for MGS HD Collection to arrive

Saints row is on my wishlist. Waiting for it to come down to £5 or so.

Alpha Protocol is pretty decent - assuming you fix the mouse lag and take a non-stealth based approach.

Started my first MMO last week, Star Wars The Old Republic. I'm really enjoying it so far and can see myself pouring hours into it.

I'm breaking it up with quick games on GTR and Arma 2. I found my old copy of Jedi Knight 2 : Jedi Outcast the other night as well, very tempted to give it a quick play through on my week off :)

Whats up with the stealth? ...I was planning on playing it pretty much exclusively stealthy!

I remember the reviews saying that the all out gun approach was better for this game. A number of us here did the same and it just plays better. Have a read around before you start because I can't remember exactly why stealth isn't good!

I completed Alpha Protocol (albeit on X360) using Stealth and martial arts, whilst it is fine for most of the game, I found the areas where you are forced to fight (the last level in particular) are fairly tedious unless you have a ranged weapon speciality.

Not undoable, but like CaptainRAVE said, you would probably have more fun not relying on stealth.

I'll just play it as it comes I think. I almost always favour stealth in these games, as I find it more challenging and fun, but I also always end up having to do a bit of shooting so I'll see how it goes.

I started it last night, and it seems quite interesting. I like the look of the reputation mechanics, but the dialogue(and story) seems a bit cheesy so far.

Just tried Gotham City Impostors.

Matchmaking would appear to be boned. Sit for ages then loads of people appear. All different levels which isn't fun at all.

Only a fiver but still....

Do you think they will? I really doubt it.

I really hope not..

I’m a massive A2 fan and got it just after it came out. I am not on the other hand a massive fan of BIS, was initially disappointed regards the bugs in A2, but with the BIS communities almost obsessive loyalty & talent, I thought I would stick with it. Possibly the best game decision I have made as its by far the best game I have ever played, war or military type, possibly of any type, but imo that is down to the community. The community have nurtured the game along and added so many fixes, addons, mods & islands (on the whole all fairly top notch), that its kept the title fresh and alive.
BIS has recruited from the community, which is a good decision on their behalf, but if A2 had been left to BIS completely, I don’t think the game would be anywhere as near as good as it is.

They have some great people now and the new A3 is shaping up really well, but I can see a change coming at some stage, just hope it’s a couple of years down the road and not for A3.:D

Don’t forget BIS were on their arses not so long ago (allegedly).. A2 had to work, and it did, but business being business, BF3 will be looked at from some angles (£££'s), I'm sure..

Saints Row: The Third

I stopped playing this as my PC didn't play it all that well. Since upgrading though I have started playing it. I can't get off it now, love it to bits. I prefer SR 2 and 3 to GTA. Mainly because the game is pretty much the same but plays more like a sandbox than attempting to be realistic. Robbing banks whilst wearing a mask of your own face is just one way this game laughs at itself.

I haven't played Coop yet since none of my mates have the game.

Planetside, TR
World of Tanks
and the odd bit of Fallout Tatics (missed it the first time round)

Just finished Mass Effect 3 and still exploring in Skyrim.

Anyone suggest a good RTS (not Shogun, am awful at that). newish that I can try out before Diablo 3 comes out next month?

Still skyrim. It'll take something epic to top this. Did play through Dear Esther at the weekend in 3 hours (twice as long as it takes most people), it was wonderful.

Abandoned my PC for the moment as I will be playing Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on the 360. Gonna be the first time I have turned it on in over 18 months!

I might try and have a go at the first Mass Effect as well and just hope there is good news coming up soon.
