What PC games are you playing?

Uncharted 4 - A Thief's End

Heard a lot about this series on console and never played it before but I saw it was finally on PC. I stopped playing new games as they do not perform properly, are buggy and pricey and I don't play online with deranged angry people anymore.

Picking up slightly older top quality games has been amazing for the past year, gorgeous games, cheap prices, brilliant single player set pieces plus no bugs!

This is another classic I picked up cheap on CD Keys. It looks great, performs perfectly and is great fun. Loads of parkour and climbing and running and jumping etc. across gorgeous landscapes from Malaysia to Scotland to Madagascar to Colombia. Well impressed.

Can't get enough of Watch Dogs atm, I love a bit of stealth gameplay and I'm getting more enjoyment out of this than what I did with CP2077. Stealth, gunplay, mechanics, AI, gritty dark feel - all better than Cyberpunk imo. Looks pretty good too with mods

Loved WatchDogs. Especially now the graphics actually look like that original gameplay video.

Really caught me by surprise how good it is, I'm really glad I revisited. Can't recomend that mod enough btw, makes the game super immersive and cinematic which fits into the serious style of the game.

Ooh what's that, as in which version of Watchdogs that has been modded? The original?

Yep the original and best imo

I thought Days Gone was really good, surprisingly so. Seems to have a bit of a mixed reputation but definitely worth a play!
I keep on coming back to Days Gone, resetting the Hordes and playing for a few hours, it has become a staple for me, it's just kind of cathartic riding round on the bike and figuring out new ways to defeat the hordes.

This is because I'm currently going through a stage of playing quite a few games for a few hours, enjoying them and then inexplicabnly not touching them again. Yakuza 0, Satisfactory, Robocop, Pendiment and just recently Another Crab's treasure.

I've Gamepass for my son's Xbox, so hopefully Stalker 2 and Indiana Jones will capture my attention when I get round to installing them.

Got a refund on Helldivers 1. What a load of twaddle. Tutorial went fine but first mission and I was swamped by a robot army and could hardly do anything. I don't like the way is linked in a shared universe so you can only do what the game lets you in terms of regions.

Grabbed Rogue trader because its an owl cat game. Really struggling to enjoy it, maybe because I never really got into the Warhammer stuff. But the dialogue seems quite poor, I don't like the attitudes of most people. I rescued some lady and almost straight away im in a romance... its weird. Granted I'm only at the start of act 1. Combat feels kind of boring, everything seems samey. I feel like I should keep going but... I'm not sure.

The writing and story in it is actually really good but only if you're into Warhammer and its lore. Its not as easy a title to get into as their previous games (Pathfinder 1 and 2) because you could approach the Pathfinder games with little knowledge of the lore/setting and merely a liking of generic fantasy, Rogue Trader does almost need the player to be interested in Warhammer and its lore/setting and having knowledge of that lore helps a lot for the immersion.

You are only in a romance if you chose the romance options. It is extremely light on that due to the setting.
Agree with Tombstone if you're not a fan of the setting, you won't get as much enjoyment out of it. I wasn't able to enjoy the pathfinder games at all, but I love this one.

Disagree on the combat though. That is my favourite part of the game which is a bloody good job considering how much of it there is. Unlike baldurs gate 3 which I actively tried to avoid battles where I could.

I mean I like certain Devs but if they made superhero games I wouldn't play them because I'm not into superhero setting, I wouldn't buy it and then be surprised that I'm not really into it.
