What PC games are you playing?

I've tried to play Stalker 2. What a broken mess.

Is it still bad? I've finished Sekiro now so I'm after my next game to play. I installed that and Indiana Jones last night (both on Gamepass). Haven't played Stalker 2 yet, was hoping the issues talked about in the early reviews would have been resolved by now...

Yeah, I'm starting to agree. After a few more hours in finding some of the platforming elements a pain. I helps I haven't played any FPS for a long time so I can forgive some of the shortcomings but the movement is weird. That said, I do like the basic exploring & problem solving with the nostalgic feeling. I think for me the best old school FPS is Unreal quickly followed by Doom and Quake (I'm 40 this year )

I picked up DayZ standalone a couple years ago. It's brutal but it still has an old school feel to it. Deffo need a chest sheet to survive more than a few hours :D
Update: I installed HL again and I’m quite enjoying it :p

I never got further than the shader compiling. Crashed every time.

I have Stalker and Indiana Jones installed but since my system is really starting to struggle performance-wise I'm holding off until I upgrade. Might play Indiana Jones on the xbox, currently playing Jedi Last Survivor which is a nice couch game.

Was really hoping i'd enjoy Kingdom Come Deliverance after it was free on Epic Games, but i just cant get into it.

The graphics and world seem to be really clunky and flat and the animations are horrible. To think it came out in the same year as RDR2 is nuts. It is like they are from completely different generations technically. Even the Witcher 3 that came out in 2015 was better from a technical standpoint (at making the world feel alive).

Just finding it hard to get immersed in it after being spoilt but games that create a much more believable world visually/technically.

The sequel looks like it has had a big upgrade in that respect and is more up to date with its peers so maybe i will enjoy that more. I guess the first one just lacked the budget.

Been playing Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth for a while now.

It's been a slow process and very addictive, largely thanks to RGG's ability to perfect the formula of "hey, we hear you like games, so we put some games in your game." No-one else does it quite like they do.

So, I spent an entire day of playtime last week doing up an island resort for reasons that made no sense narratively or thematically, but which was cracking fun - to the extent I temporarily forgot what the rest of the game was about. Nearly at the end, though. I think. Unless another game-within-a-game grabs me before then...

Incredibly addictive game, I think it has easily the worst plot in the series but it's hard to put down when you get into it.

I must've spent am unhealthy amount if time on that resort:P

Yes, that's where I am with it, too. They really nailed so much in terms of the systems, combat, mini-games/sub-stories, general polish that, whilst I've noticed that the main plotline is a bit... well, what the hell even is it? :), it hasn't really affected how engaged I've been with it. Most addicted I've been to a Yakuza game since 0, I think.

And what the hell is with Bryce's English? Man, that is hard to listen to. And shouldn't it be, like, his native language?

Anyway, I think I have some sujimon to train and there are new guests for Dondoko, so, er, what were we talking about again?

Oh yeah, I have no idea why they went with a Japanese VA for Bryce:cry:

Completely agree on all the points, I stopped caring about the shortcomings of the story because the game was just that addictive and so on point with its systems.

Finally started playing Starfield, as I've still got GamePass sub left (post the amazing Indian Jones game).

This is on paper, close to my perfect game. Space based, adventure-RPG with a crew mechanic, with a variety of customisable ships....but I'm struggling with it. Feels very dated in so many ways. If you've have told me it was a game made entirely by AI, I think I'd have believed it. It just lacks any real character, livelyness or 'magic' that you should get from games like this.

Someone, for the love of all that's holy, please make a new Mass Effect.... I'm not considering ME5 an option until I've had confirmation they've not ruined it.

My original career mode Bluebuck in BeamNG went the way of all things in an update (that's what perpetual alpha builds get you!). But from the ashes I present 'SLOWBUCK'.

Built this one out of a 2dr sedan since there were no 4drs to be had on the car market and I prefer the sedan to the hardtop. Got a 423ci heavy duty big block with forged internals, crossram intake, dry sump oiling, lightweight front bodywork, fairly heavy duty suspension...all married to drum brakes and little 14x6 wheels with cross-ply tyres. But it's fast. Which is useful, since the police have gotten a bit of an upgrade in the latest RLS Career mod and now have much quicker cars themselves.

Been on a lootershooter phase; after Borderlands 3 recently finished Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. It had tons of negative reviews, but I enjoyed it. Lots of cool new gameplay elements and the same, fun shooty stuff. Story is dire, but I'm all set now for Borderlands 4.

Disco Elysium.

Thought i would enjoy it but struggling a little to get into it. Even though i know it is that sort of game, it still seems to be excessively wordy (to the point of being a bit of a chore).

Will persevere though as it is interesting in many respects.
