What PC games are you playing?

The original Half Life. I picked up Black Mesa last year but wanted to play Half Life first as I'm not 100% sure if I ever fully played it. I'm quite enjoying it and feel very nostalgic about it. I'm looking forward to seeing what improvements Black Mesa brings.
I’ve tried playing HL a couple of times recently for the same nostalgia, but I can’t get on with it. The run speed feels way too fast for me, I wanted the pace to be a bit slower.

I’m playing a decent amount of DayZ at the moment. Played it when standalone first came out and haven’t touched it since. It’s crazy the amount of detail in it now compared to back then. Really enjoying it, it’s just brutally difficult.

Yeah, I'm starting to agree. After a few more hours in finding some of the platforming elements a pain. I helps I haven't played any FPS for a long time so I can forgive some of the shortcomings but the movement is weird. That said, I do like the basic exploring & problem solving with the nostalgic feeling. I think for me the best old school FPS is Unreal quickly followed by Doom and Quake (I'm 40 this year )

I picked up DayZ standalone a couple years ago. It's brutal but it still has an old school feel to it. Deffo need a chest sheet to survive more than a few hours :D

Late to the party but steam sale pointed me towards FC25 which is brilliant. Not played any football games since fifa 12 which took me about 4 years to complete online in the 1v1's

I started playing Battlefront 2 for some online play. Game still looks great and is still fun to play. Although if you take away the StarWars theme, I'm sure it would quickly lose that appeal.

Half-Live Alyx in VR. I can only manage an hour or so at a time. I'm enjoying Flight Simulator 2024 despite it being plagued with bugs. Main one I'm experiencing is button to communicate with ATC not working most of the time.

Finally decided it's time to do the grand Mass Effect playthrough again. Already had a game started in ME1 so picked that up where I left off and now slogging through to the end of ME3. Last time it took around two months.

Using the Legendary version this time having overcome the spinnng camera bug via the simple expedient of unplugging my Logitech joystick, which for some reason mucks up the control configuation.

Aside from the usual iRacing grind I've tried to get a bit of my Steam backlog done recently before dipping into Steam sales

When the HL2 Anniversary update came out I blasted through that again, and imo apart from the graphics the game itself still holds up today, fantastic. Played Doom Eternal which was great fun as always, very much looking forward to Dark Ages. Most recently spent 87 hours on AC Origins and its DLC. First AC I've played since 3 back on the 360 and I really enjoyed it. Next up I think I'll play Life is Strange 2 as i'm a bit open worlded out right now. RDR2 is calling at some point in the future, as is a replay of CP2077 with the DLC.

I've recently got back into Forza Horizon 5, I'd forgotten how good this game is, and great if you don't have that much time each night to actually play. Log in, do a couple of races and log off. Looks fantastic as well.
