How many people are solid state only for sound/vibration reasons?
I've got some spare 4TB WD Reds from my NAS but I'm resisting using them to keep the PC quieter.
I'm moving to all NVME. 1 x SN850 1TB, 1 x WDBlue 1TB, 1 x 850evo 500MB. Currently got a 750GB WD black but that's going once I reorganise.
Added one last drive and PCIe SATA card as ran out of ports.
I'm now on the right side of 100TB
What storage ? Oh what computer, i have about 10 of them lol.
I have drives all over my bedroom lol, they never fail on me hahaha, so i just keep old ones.
I even use a Velociraptor hard drive in an extrnal usb caddy. I just love the clicking type sound they make and always lusted after them in the 90`s when i had no money and couldnt afford one.
I have 4 8TB extrenal drives for bulk storage ( high res photos, games, movies etc ) and some small SSD drives for speed.
thinking about shucking the extrnal drives but dont really want to ask on here how to do it incase i get a bunch of angry people saying that shucking is wrong etc
@ dave28: WD Raptor HDD in the 90's back in EIDE days, try 2003 (PATA to SATA bridge chip)!
