What retro things have you done today?

@LewisRaz, Seem to work fine now!

Not booted it to Windows yet or tried any 3D as I've not reapplied thermal paste or re-attached the PCI bracket yet!

No it was mid-counting the RAM, gets to the full 64MB just fine :) Couldn't get a pic of 64MB as every time I tried I got either a blank screen, or the Mobo BIOS screen!

No idea what the reference is to a Copyright 2006, as the BIOS is dated 2001 (09/25/2001).

Nice work, used to have a Leadtek 4400ti which an epic cooler, so very fond of the brand.

Heatsinks have just turned up, can confirm one was a Volcano 7+, looks basically new aswell, 0 wear on the molex plug and the fan looks factory clean.

Nice, I've got a Zalman Flower on the way for my Socket A build :)

EDIT: The Leadtek GF 4 Ti4400 was that the one with the twin 40mm fans and the heatsink wrapped over the top of the card? I had one of them too!

Oh and @LewisRaz, just for you:

Do they look like they've been replaced? I've had a look on google image search just now and eventually found one with surface mounts in those spots you mention. http://www.thg.ru/graphic/20010425/print.html (scroll down a bit, old THG review). Also seems there is indeed another revision that uses regular aluminium caps, with the memory chips all on one side of the board.

Replaced the caps with Tantalums (had them in my parts bin) and we're good to go, no stability issues to report, so "faulty" wasn't actually faulty :) Another working card for the collection.

@paradigm the sloket arrived today thankyou, The jumper settings look confusing, is it auto voltage in its default state?

My DIY adlib has arrived too... But been back at work today so spare time is all but gone until the weekends.
