What sort of Scoobie is this?

Hi,
A mate has this car but he's just gone on holiday and can't tell me what is actually is. What is this likely to be?

It is a normally aspirated Subaru Impreza.

If he is lucky, it will be a Sport, which means a heady 114bhp. Otherwise its a GL. I don't think they'll get to 60.

Not sure then, but last time I bothered to check Subaru was AWD only and proud of it.

im sure the early impys were offered in FWD but it wans't a popular option.

Not all Scoobies are AWD. I owned a 1980 GL station wagon that was FWD only.

yeh some of the early GL was fwd as option
