£20 a month no, contract and no phone line rubbish to worry about.

Hyperoptic have excellent customer service that is very reminiscent of BeThere if you can remember those guys. I can get Gigabit up/down for another £20 a month but then I am not sure I would know what to do with it! Slightly disappointed with my ping it is usually in the 2/3 range I am going to put that down to the congestion of it being a Sunday night ;)

I'm using BT fibre, but because I live in the land that time forgot, the cables don't go all the way to the door. So, I've got to make do with a connection that's about 60% less efficient than it could be.

How much are you paying on your 200MB plan? Is that internet-only?

I'm was the £25 contract, internet-only but it has gone up steadily every year and I now pay £35 (last couple of years were pretty big £2 hikes).

Is Virgin the only cable provider in the UK? (specifically Staffordshire)

P.S. No landline in my house, so needs to be cable.

I’m paying £40 for 200MB and Mix Tv.

about 47quid to BT for up to 52mb which I only get 42mb. Just had virgin installed last week, £30 for 200mb, it was lethal speed but they couldn't transfer my phone number over like they promised so got them out and now waiting for plusnet to be installed, £33 for up to 52mb.

Oh man I remember BeThere, they were excellent! My first company was an older one Nildram, I was one of the first guys in my town in Harrow to get adsl, 512k a month for 60 quid haha.

Quite solid speeds at the moment with Hyperoptic. Good job the house i'm in the process of buying has Hyperoptic availability too :)

I got the 100mb deal from Hyperoptic out here in Chelmsford. Such a massive difference compared to 6mb or so with TalkTalk. But I do miss the speeds we have back home in Sweden.

Some people got nothing better to do than find threads that have not been replied to for 6 months, lol...

Thread will not die!

I was in Pinner near Harrow and was a very early Nildram ISDN and later an early ADSL adopter too.
