What stupid thing have you seen, heard or experienced today?

You would have to be very special not to be able to cut a block of butter to fit your dish.

Granted, people will pay more for convenience, but come on...

I'd rather buy a block of butter that fit my dish than worry about saving a few pence and having an off cut of butter knocking around the fridge or cupboard.

The difference is sometimes up to £1, depending on the offer I've found.

Besides, if she buys two smaller ones, she's going to have one in the fridge or cupboard anyway.

I'm all for looking after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves but c'mon. Some people don't care about losing out on up to £1 for the sake of convenience.

But over the course of the year and given that it's only one item on your shopping list, it's a bit silly not to just cut the bigger block in half.

You're both wrong. Pepsi Max is where it's at :p
I agree I've just stocked up, £10.50 for 24 cans at my local Iceland...

If some random person was "karen" enough to comment about my shopping, I would tell them where to get off...

my niece was moaning that the butter in the fridge was too hard to spread on the bread and it was breaking the bread....
I was like; did you not see the "I can't believe it's not butter" in the door tray
"nooo... why do you have both butter and marge?"...
"REALLY??!..."...
