I think the front bit is a sounder myself, not a camera. I honestly can't think what it's for. All we know is its homemade. The device itself carries no sticker I can see, only the shop bought adapter with it (recharging supply?). I don't think anything would happen if you opened it, but i'm not sure I would myself (what would you make of it anyway, it'll just be PCBs and wires unless you understand it all). I am beginning to suspect the OP is a wind up...

Having just showed a friend this thread who knows more about this sort of thing - I'm backing down from my giggling, I'd be very weary about it.

I don't even think he should chuck it away - do you?

Open it slowly and make sure there are no wires connecting the top, if there are slowly cut the green wire first then the yellow wire! :eek:

What's grabbing me, is why Scuzi won't let out any details. :mad::p
 
Scuzi is not one to scaremonger i would say...

Perhaps its best to let the authorities know. Just say something like, "I have been informed that i could possibly have an RTC device in my house, i know not what it is, or what an RTC device is, but was told to inform the police"

Dependant on their reaction, it will be apparant how seriously they are taking it....
