What to do about strange package outside my flat?

File a police report and hand in the stuff. Tell them to call you in a couple of weeks if no one comes to claim it.

Lol you see awefully scared of this simple bag. If it's been there a few days already then that probably means the owned dumped it. Reason? You will never know.
 
God, I've just noticed the OP has taken 4 hours and still not opened the damn thing! Grow some balls, lol.

If there was a bag of stuff in my garden I'd be all over it like an Ethiopian over a plate of food! There might be free stuff in it!

Its not going to be a bomb ffs, I mean, as interesting as your garden wall is, I somehow doubt it rates highly on a terrorist hit list.
 
What a night!! I decided to go and retrieve the beer before the council or whoever disposes of it and didn't expect anything to happen because as far as we had decided it was an abandoned bag.

Put my warm coat on and headed out to retrieve the prize. Clambered round the wall, picked up the bag and took a photo of the contents to post in this thread... this was my mistake. As soon as I had taken the photo (which illuminated the whole area) I heard a chavvy voice shouting "OI". I just stood there looking to see where the voice was coming from and saw 4 or 5 tracksuit dressed chavs running towards me shouting that I was stealing their stash!!

I panicked and lobbed the bag over a hedge hoping they'd head for the bag but they didn't. You'd think I'd stolen their life savings or something the speed they were going. I've never ran so fast but managed to get over a wall and hide under a car being the brave man that I am. They were looking for me for a good 5 minutes or so shouting abuse but eventually it all went quiet until my phone started ringing. It was my housemate calling to see if I was OK as he had heard the shouting from outside! Cue the chavs hearing the phone and one of them shouting "He's over there". I leapt out from under the car and was chased around the block before managing to get back to the flat and get back inside. I'm pretty sure they didn't see where I live because I had a good head start on them.

The problem now is that a police car is outside and there's a policeman looking about where the bag was. I'm assuming one of the local residents heard all the noise and called them. Where do I stand if for some tiny reasong they find out it was me? As far as I see I've done nothing wrong and it's all gone quiet outside now so the police will probably just move along? My plan is to just stay in the flat and let it all calm down. Certainly didn't expect all this but it's got the adrenaline running that's for sure! Thank god I have tomorrow off work as I don't think I'll sleep tonight. I'm just hoping none of the chavs saw my face :(

That's unlucky, from what you said they didn't seem to be there earlier?

It's not like you did anything wrong, the chavs will probably have forgotton about it before the end of the night anyway.
