What TV shows are you currently watching

Empire of the Tsars: Romanov Russia with Lucy Worsley.

Just started part 1 and it is fascinating!

I know practically nothing about Russian history but already it is fascinating and I'm engrossed!

If you enjoy history then definitely watch this!

First episode of Mayor of Kingstown (not to be confused with Kate Winslets depression session Mare of Easttown) - strongest pilot i've seen in quite some time - will be getting through this quite quickly.

From imdb - The McLusky family are power brokers tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality in Kingstown, Michigan, where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry.

that's like saying Jaws is too fixated on the Shark :)
One of the reason Jaws works so well is that you don't see much of the shark.

The setup of the show was good, but like a lot of BBC thrillers it goes down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole which makes it hard to get to a satisfactory ending.

ABC Marvel - Luke Cage really enjoyed the first 2 episodes a solid continuation from Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Going to watch the full ABC sequence in order.
Don's hat -
I couldn't get through the first half hour, I found it tediously boring, almost as boring as the first 7 or so EPs of Jessica Jones which I stuck through as I was told David Tenant was fantastic in the series, looking back I wish I had just skipped the EPS without him.

@5punk3monk3y I agree it's relatively slow but I'm currently in a place where personally that appeals. I think of I've got TV diabetes form the sugary high energy no brains output of the last few years (MCU Phase 4 TV, Obi Wan and Rings of Power I'm looking at you) that something a bit slower feels more enjoyable.

Oh nice one. I saw this mentioned somewhere, might have been here (can’t remember!) and wanted to watch it but promptly forgot all about it!!

Coasting nicely through Brassic thanks to some of you on here. That episode last night where they have to go and pick up that bloke with the peacocks and bring him to Mcann. Best one yet

Just finished up 1899 and now am on a trip down memory lane with some 80s cop shows, namely Miami Vice from start to finish and Hill Street Blues from start to finish. Can really appreciate now just how far ahead of its time Hill Street Blues was.

The Lazarus Project

Binged it yesterday - not an original story by any means - but enjoyable watch.

Really enjoyed Andor, for me probably the better Star Wars series by Disney. The others have tended to be rather basic, or a bit slow, but thought this was very good. Will now watch Rogue One again.
