National Treasure: Edge of History - Disney+

Gen Z crap meets the Scooby Gang sprinkled with some 'history' solved in the most hilarious manner possible. I don't know what is worse at the moment - Willow, or this. Two episodes are out folks and if you love the films, you'd do yourself a favour and watch something else really.

Watched episode 1 of The Recruit on Netflix.

I have a a feeling it's gonna turn out to be another Netflix "meh" series but I'm gonna give it the benefit of the doubt for at least 1 more episode.

It's described as "TV thriller, TV drama, TV action and Adventure and is described as being about CIA espionage etc. Nothing groundbreaking in the synopsis and so far much more comedy than drama or Action to be honest.

finished season 3 of Pennyworth.
ok, but sometimes it felt like i was watching a very long advert for alcohol.
the amount of times that characters had drinks in their hands was almost farcical.

On Quest Red last night, there was an extra long documentary on the Mary Kay Letourneau scandal.

I don't remember it even though I would have been 17 at the time.

She is the 34 year old woman who had an affair with her 12 year old student in America.
She even had 2 kids by him as he fathered them at 12!

I would say it is really interesting as the laws are there for a reason but was it really a love story that lasted?

I still don't know what to think really as she was charged with raping a child.

However they got married once she was released from prison and they stayed together til she died from cancer.

Definitely an interesting watch and it is repeated tonight on Quest Red.

Made me feel sad though.

I think they were either separated or divorced at the time of her death, if memory serves me correctly, though I believe they were still close. Very strange relationship that, again from memory, left him with depression/mental health issues etc.
He apparently did file for separation and divorce but decided not to go through with it.

I'm not surprised that he has suffered mentally though because she effectively trapped him from such a young age.

If they hadn't of fought to stay together in the way that they did and then somehow managed a life together til she died then I wouldn't feel so conflicted by it.

There is a really good drama series on the BBC iPlayer called The Teacher.
I think they might have possibly based it on them but not sure.
The teacher is of a similar age but the boy is 16 so the age of consent seemed more blurred.
