What TV shows are you currently watching

I went back watching the final series of City Homicide today. It's an Australian cop/detective series.

Great series. I watched most of it on Amazon Prime but it didn't have the final series. But I was surprised to find 5 series on STV app. It's a free app showing Scotland's ITV channel. Lots of box sets on there for free.

Married to a Psychopath, two part documentary on channel 4.

It's just amazing and almost unbelievable how convincing and manipulating these psychopaths can be.

They interviewed a few friends who had grown up with the murderer.

It was really interesting to see one of them was still feeling conflicted that they had been deceived so badly, and that their friend, had killed 2 people and was also convicted of attempting another.

Finished Happy Valley - good telly.
I was a little disappointed with the finale.

It was kinda - "Oh, it turns out this guy deals drugs and lives next door, I guess we'll go an arrest him. Also, someone that is now dead said so and so did X, so we've put him behind bars too" I find it hard to beleive either case would be that simple and we basically just had it narrated to us. Even the head to head that finally happened was naughty boy apologising.

Generally very good TV, but almost felt like, someone didn't know they had to wrap it up in 20 minutes... thinking they had 2 or 3 more eps to go.

Lockwood & Co.
Netflix

6 or 7/10

Not finished. Its OK but can be annoying. Some stuff they do is just bizarre.
It's OK to fill some time as running out of stuff to watch at the moment

Rewatching arcane.

10/10

Its unusual for me to Rewatch something so soon after seeing it. But it is outstanding

I'm on series 9 of The Walking Dead and it's become a bit of a chore but I do want to complete it since I'm so far in. I feel like the ending is going to be open ended with no real closure. I feel the ending to Series 8 was not as satisfying as it could have been and could have been done better. Series 9 feels like they suddenly got some new director and were told to be even more woke. Suddenly having done the Lesbian and Gay character thing, they've had to try to be even more inclusive and diverse with more female leaders and then a person who can only use sign language. Bit's of it are good, but some of the episodes - and I think the entire series has had this problem - feel so drawn out for the sake of it, like they hit to hit a minute quota. I liked the slowness early on to enable good character development but, it's lost it's rawness from the early series. The fact that the wrote out a lot of the main characters from early on as well did not do it any favours.
