What TV shows are you currently watching

Industry has started back up too. It's a little like Billions I guess, half the time I have no idea what they're talking about or what's actually going on.
I started watching that after seeing preview of it on documentary on RBS. I can't recommend it though, it's a hard watch, the dialogue is painful, the characters behave like their from another dimension (I guess that's the point but still) and the acting is generally hovers between below average to average. Going off the Rotten Tomatoes score it's one of those shows that's obviously backed paid press and has a much less favourable audience score.

I only get through the episode 4 after which I just gave up and stopped watching so maybe I'm being unfair but from what I've seen so far I'm not convinced that it will get much better.

NCIS: Vegas season 2 it's not as strong as CSI was, it's not as serious and it suffers from Tell not Show. We get everyone cooing over how knowledgeable someone is then you see them behaving like an unprofessional ass. It's not terrible and it hasn't been every episode but they're not "following the evidence".

There is a definite split between shows where the characters tell us things but don't show it which feel weak and those that show us not tell us which often feel more substantial.

I don't think I've seen mention of Strike (or CB Strike?). A quick search looks to be one mention back in 2017! Based on some JK Rowling novels, basically fairly standard private detective show, but S1 was 3 eps and I'm, erm... half way through S2 (or S1b) which is two eps...

Seems quite good though. On iPlayer.

I've watched them all and they're not too bad.

I wouldn't want to rewatch the whole series though like New Tricks or Breaking Bad.

I've found that's just as much about the type of show as it is how good the show is. I agree, it wouldn't be as good a second time around. BB is in my top 3, but wasn't nearly as good the second time round, when you know what's coming. GoT was way better the second time round when things made more sense.

FAUDA on Netflix, it's in Hebrew and watching it with subs. I'm really enjoying it and on season 2 of 4 at the moment. I find it interesting how everything stems from belief, the culture and the violence even to the point of how they talk and greet each other.

I actually preferred Breaking Bad a second time because it was less stressful!! Lol!

I know I'm weird :p
