I'll have to watch that!I saw a three-part drama on ITV - with reference to the documentary Married to a Psychopath.
It's called The Widower, starring Reece Shearsmith. Very good and I highly recommend it!
Just watched the final and yeah, I agree that those bits were a bit ridiculous.I was a little disappointed with the finale.
It was kinda - "Oh, it turns out this guy deals drugs and lives next door, I guess we'll go an arrest him. Also, someone that is now dead said so and so did X, so we've put him behind bars too" I find it hard to beleive either case would be that simple and we basically just had it narrated to us. Even the head to head that finally happened was naughty boy apologising.
Generally very good TV, but almost felt like, someone didn't know they had to wrap it up in 20 minutes... thinking they had 2 or 3 more eps to go.
That reminds me, I need to watch S3, great show.Re watching Afterlife , as good as first time.
I did similar last year and enjoyed it. It's quite odd watching it all now back to back as if I remember, it jumps a good few years between seasons. After enjoying Happy Valley we decided to try Last Tango in Halifax.
I've just finished my second viewing of BB and my dislike for Walter was far greater this time round.I've found that's just as much about the type of show as it is how good the show is. I agree, it wouldn't be as good a second time around. BB is in my top 3, but wasn't nearly as good the second time round, when you know what's coming. GoT was way better the second time round when things made more sense.
Watching it as well at the moment.Sex Education s3.
Ruby aaarrgh. Otis you are such a ****!
Afterlife is an amazing mixture of deep, unrelenting depression with very dark themes, some genuine funny bits, and some real moments of writing genius, especially those bench scenes. That reminds me, I need to watch S3, great show.
Yeah, I watched some of an episode, it's pretty awful - then I tried the direct remake called Queen of the South which is a bit more serious but still borderline ludicrous at times. Managed 3 episodes of that.I started 'La Riena Del Sur' (Or something like that, 'Queen of the South') for my next 'learning Spanish by watching Netflix shows' as it's quite highly rated on IMDb... but... it's kind of like watching a Spanish soap opera. The terrible audio, strange sound effects and questionable acting. Not what I'm used to after Money Heist. 3 eps in, but I might give it a miss. Anyone else watched it?
