What TV shows are you currently watching

Off the top of my head things we haven’t seen…
The Bodyguard
Happy Valley
Taboo
Peaky Blinders
Luther
Line of Duty
Fleabag
Any ITV dramas (I think they all look trash)
I'd move The Bodyguard to the bottom of that list. Well, that's a lie, I wouldn't recommend it. I honestly couldn't believe all the attention it got when it came out, so overrated. Killing Eve was out at the same time and way better. Happy Valley, Peaky Blinders and Fleabag are excellent. Luther and Line of Duty are very good. Taboo, I remember thinking it was fine, enjoyable enough. Though now I can't remember exactly what happened. I do remember it being a bit dark and mumbly :D

As for ITV dramas, I don't watch much on ITV but Unforgotten is excellent and there are 5 seasons. A Spy Among Friends is good too.

The Power (Amazon Prime).

Watched the 1st episode and found myself gripped enough that I will probably watch the 2nd and 3rd tonight (then it's a weekly release). Quite a cool concept, not read the book it's based on but from the trailer I have high hopes.

Rabbit Hole so far is one of the best shows I've seen in years - but not convinced they can keep it up - feels like one of those shows with a great premise that runs out of steam after the initial setup.

Though with Kiefer Sutherland and Charles Dance in leading roles you'd really have to go to some effort to stuff it up.

im loving Charles Dance in this role, the old skool wit has me giggling at times, enjoyed ep3, the back to past is annoying at thimes, but understand they just setting up the series

Watched the first 3 episodes, and I wasn't as impressed as I thought considering the reviews it has.

There are far too many flashbacks used for story exposition, for me. Keifer is still great and the espionage/mystery element has some 24/Homeland about it. But making him a non physical character is a bit of a weird choice. In 24 you see him running towards the action. Here he seems to be running away or getting his ass kicked by a teenager or his female sidekick :p

I suspect this series would work much better dropped all at once as opposed to weekly. Will persevere for now.

Yeah I don't really do flashbacks myself - but other than that I liked the way it is building things.

Likewise I think it is a show which will be diluted somewhat by weekly viewing as you start to lose sight of some of the threads linking stuff together. (And if you peel that stuff away it would be quite a generic show).

I'm about 5 eps into Tulsa King and really enjoying it. Stallone plays a mobster who has just come out of prison after a 25 year stretch, done for keeping his mouth shut about his boss. Things have changed and people aren't as grateful as he expected! He's give Tulsa as an area to run... (Yet another Taylor Sheridan show)

Latest series of Taskmaster started last week, saw it last night. Always apprehensive with a new series but this lot seem pretty good.

Paris Police 1905.

Its been a while since I watched anything with subtitles but being French, this did not disappoint.

The last episode had some incredible but artistic violence.

Made all the better with a creepy hidden room and an even more creepy guy who gave me such a fright that I screamed and grabbed my poor sleeping sausage dog! Lol!

Well worth watching and particularly if you like the French style drama writing with substance.

mmmm nootka

Its a great show though, Tom Hardy great as always, good soundtrack and yeah its quite dark. Season 2 supposed to be happening.

Watched 1st episode of Colin From Accounts on BB2 last night. Most sitcoms give an occasional chuckle but this had some genuine belly laugh moments. It is sometimes rude and crude, but most important is that it was funny. Hope the rest of season is good.

Finished S1 of Night Agent and I think I'm in line with most others, yeah, it was pretty good.

Also finished S3 of Barry, which is good fun, I believe just in time for the final season to air.

Started on Shrinking, just 1 ep, but was a strong start.

Was going to give Ted Lasso a go? Anyone know if its any good?
The 1st series was some of the best telly I have seen in ages, and you don't need to like football to enjoy. Whilst series 2 is not as good but it would be hard to keep the standard. It does flesh out the characters, and undermines the cliches we see in football.
