What TV shows are you currently watching

^haha that made me chuckle. Online reviews summed up pretty well

Quite enjoyed The Night Agent.

Very 24, Designated Survivor vibes. Quite fast paced, and some decent plot twists throughout. Very watchable.

You struggle to see how it’s rated so highly yet you rate it 8-9 out of 10

What's the problem? I didn't say the show was bad, far from it, but for reviewers to rate it near perfect seems a bit odd with plot holes in every season. Granted I'm just going off the rotten tomatoes figures but you'd think it's one of the best things to ever air looking at that.

An 8/10 is miles away from a 9.8/10 ;)

dunno if thi/s counts as a tv show. I found an old dvd box set of SHARPE (TV Series 1993–2008) with sean bean in it as major sharpe, a fictional British soldier in the Napoleonic Wars

I gave it a 9/10 because it the only thing I have seen movie wise that sean bean does not die

Doesn't set the genre on fire but enjoyable, the first half of the season had a lot of nice touches like the application of fieldcraft but sadly like a lot of shows they tend to get thrown out as it progresses and the last half is very generic 24 territory, though probably a decent watch for 24 fans. I found it a lot more watchable than many of the recent offerings in this genre.
I consider 24 the best show ever made and watched every single ep 3 times so I will check out Night Agent right now.

Was dissapointed with how The Never wrapped up, really thought the show had potential, now on to S2 of Shadow & Bone, where the Crow storyline continues to be exponentially more interesting than the main one :D

Blue Lights.

Another cop drama/show but set in Belfast on the BBC IPlayer.

Pretty much binge watched it over the last 2 nights and I have to say I am really impressed with it!

Will finish it tonight and I really hope they do another series or more as it was such an interesting avenue to go down with all the Northern Ireland "stuff" such as the punishment appointments by paramilitaries.

So much more than your average cop show and really brutal but also funny in places.

I highly recommend it. :)

Finished Night Agent, actually had a pretty good ending. Slightly concerned that it's been renewed for season 2 given it's based on a book and there aren't any more.

Started Tulsa King with Sly Stalone as a Mafia Capo who, having done 25 years for keeping his mouth shut to protect the boss, is 'rewarded' by being given Tulsa as an area to operate. 3 eps in a really liking it.

What’s everyone watching with their partners? I have a long list of things I want to watch that i know she won’t be interested in (Rings of Power, new Mandolorian etc). She prefers British shows to American yet I can’t stand your generic UK cop drama (yawn). I persuaded her to watch TLOU which went down “ok” but think it sounds like I need to compromise more :)p )

Off the top of my head things we haven’t seen…
The Bodyguard
Happy Valley
Taboo
Peaky Blinders
Luther
Line of Duty
Fleabag
Any ITV dramas (I think they all look trash)

She can be persuaded to watch US shows, she enjoyed The Wire and the Sopranos (not so much) so.. :o

Highly recommend Fleabag, clever, funny, sad - great show. Heard great things about Peaky Blinders, but haven't seen and my Mrs rates Line of Duty - she was glued to it.

If she enjoyed The Wire (i didn't make it past the first episode) then The Shield - what a show!

Mmmmmmm, British shows:

Sex Education
Afterlife
Sherlock

My fave US shows to watch with Mrs:

Modern Family
Breaking Bad/BCS
Parks and Rec
The Good Place
Into the Night
Alice in Borderland

Yeah cheers for the thoughts. The Shield never grabbed me, is that the one that was on channel 5 years ago?

As for those, perhaps should try Sex Education. We enjoyed Sherlock (before it jumped the shark) but unfortunately she hates Ricky Gervais with a passion :p
