What TV shows are you currently watching

Recently finished:

The Nevers (Part 2): Sadly a big old let down from what was a promising premise :(
Shadow & Bone S2: Still all good in the hood, though the Crow storyline still much better than the main one.

Currently viewing:

Picard S3: SO much better than the first 2 seasons.
Carnival Row S2: Only a few episodes in, but still good.
Schmigadoon S2: Again only a few eps in, but not feeling it at much as S1.

Just finished episode 3 of Night Agent, just watched it on impulse and it has me hooked. Another couple of episodes tonight, it's good easy watching. Plenty of twists.

Sadly mid-point is probably the peak of it, after that it plays a lot more fast and loose - not that it is bad just doesn't have what hooks you in initially - turns into generic 24 territory.

Really hope they can avoid that with Rabbit Hole - up to episode 4 so far has been excellent - a bit of a stand out from a lot of the dross lately.

I started watching an Icelandic TV show called Trapped on prime.

So far it's a good paced series set in a very snowy Iceland.

Finished Happy Valley last night, one of the better BBC shows I've seen, Sarah Lancashire is a pretty good actress, probably not seen her in anything since corrie lol, liked the casting of the sister too, was believable. It was pretty dark for the most part, but I couldn't wait to see the next episode so that's always a good sign. All the acting was excellent actually and I'm normally pretty critical of UK stuff.

Poker Face

Starring Natasha Lyonne from Orange is the New Black and Russian Doll.

Only just watched the last two episodes last night.

Overall an good and easy watch, although I certainly lost some interest, or at least thought the stories for episodes 6 & 7 were the weakest out of the whole series. Fortunately it redeemed itself for the last two episodes, with 10 tying it all up quite nicely.

Agree with @hyperseven, on the Columbo reference, I think she drawn some inspiration of playing her character from Columbo, which works rather well.

Been renewed for a second series which I'll certainly give a go.

Watched a while back... first ep or 2 got me kinda interested... carried on and the mid-season was so bad I almost stopped watching... but the last 2-3 episodes were worth it

So stoked that The Marvellous Mrs Maisel is back on, but also sad it's the final season, easily my favourite TV show of the past 10 years.

I'm having a trip down memory lane at the moment, I'm binge watching Cheers, Hill Street Blues, Miami Vice, Dallas, Cagney and Lacey, Moonlighting and The Wonder Years.

Ahh the memories of my youth, flooding back. Damnit why was TV back then so damned good.

Rabbit Hole still holding up - though they rushed the setup a bit in places in episode 5 so you kind of have to imagine certain things happened in a certain way off screen for it to make sense and not feel contrived. Feel they are overdoing it a bit trying to say this isn't Jack from 24 with having other characters holding the gun or coming to his rescue, etc. sure the character he is playing is supposed to be about planning over action.

Where/how are you watching these? I think Moonlighting in particular, I would love to watch again.
I have the Moonlighting DVD boxset and uploaded them to my media server so I just stream it from there to my TV. Same with The Wonder Years. All the others though I have on Prime (Cheers, Dallas, Hill Street Blues, Miami Vice, Cagney and Lacey and The X-Files, 90s that one though of course). I'm after the boxset of The Rockford Files next to pop onto my media server

Surprised to not see more posts about Shrinking. It's just got better and better as it's progressed.
Just finished S1. One of the better comedies I've watched this year I think.

Also finished Beef, which was... interesting... Worth a watch. A little different.

Also up to date with Rabbit Hole. It's good but so far I feel like they think they're cleverer than they actually are (the scriptwriters) Lot's of twists, but they just kind of 'we tell you this happened, and then later we tell you it didn't and show why/how'. You don't go 'No way!', you go 'Oh, okay'.

The 1st series was some of the best telly I have seen in ages, and you don't need to like football to enjoy. Whilst series 2 is not as good but it would be hard to keep the standard. It does flesh out the characters, and undermines the cliches we see in football.

You werent kidding absolutely brillant. The characters are so good. I am not a footie fan but love how the scene is set and how they interact. Cant wait to finish it!.
