What TV shows are you currently watching

"Treason" on Netflix. Charlie "Daredevil' Cox plays the deputy head of MI6 and Olga Kurylenko plays a Russian spy. Hijinks ensue.
If you can get past some "WTF? That'd never happen!" moments early on then it's actually very good. Interesting script choice in the penultimate episode too.
My wife and I enjoyed it. 7/10.
Gave up on treason very quickly. The first episode the guy heads up MI6 but still is doing front line UK investigation work without a single protection officer or anyonw with him at all.

I switched and started watching (and just finished) Night Agent which is broadly similar but I felt far better written and better sub plots.

A couple of things:
Three body - watched about 10 episodes but kinda lost the urge to keep watching
Beef - fairly watchable, like that the episodes aren't overly long. Will probably finish it.

Still watching The Power 0n Amazon. Episode 6 just done. Surprised more people aren't talking about this show!
Hmm, it's not a comedy? Sounds odd and only 6.1 on IMBd. Certainly not tempted myself...

I started The Diplomat with Keri Russell on Netflix. Only a couple of episodes in, seems okay.

Blue Lights.

Another cop drama/show but set in Belfast on the BBC IPlayer.

Pretty much binge watched it over the last 2 nights and I have to say I am really impressed with it!

Will finish it tonight and I really hope they do another series or more as it was such an interesting avenue to go down with all the Northern Ireland "stuff" such as the punishment appointments by paramilitaries.

So much more than your average cop show and really brutal but also funny in places.

I highly recommend it. :)
I am up to episode 5 and 100% agree! The series is really good, great characters and what an eye opener for sure. Thanks for the heads-up. :)

On the final series of Mad Men (S7) really enjoyed from the start. The characters really settle down, love the style, plot and characters, its very cool. Different from the usual violent stuff I tend to pick (Narcos, Gomorrah etc).

Will be sad to finish!

I still have the book sat on my desk at work, I got about a third of the way through and not sure if it's the translation or cultural style difference but it doesn't flow well at all. I'm no stranger to hard sci-fi but this was a slog from the start.

I had also considered the book as the premise sounds good. The series was becoming a bit of a slog for sure. Might go back to it I guess.

And they're apparently doing a second season which I hope will be just as good!

The last episode was brilliant so enjoy :)

Been watching The Rookie. It starts out pretty well, with good characters and a fairly grounded feel, but it's getting more and more absurd as the seasons go by.
Also watching The Ranch: a surprisingly good sitcom.

Started Night Agent on Netflix. Two episodes in, and it doesn't look good. Loads of stupidity that just wouldn't happen. Will see if it gets better but won't hold my brea

It picks up a little then stays a constant 6/10 but yes its kinda implausible but close enough to be enjoyable.
