What TV shows are you currently watching

I've been watching the Australian series on BBC called Colin from accounts. The full series is on iplayer.

It's a typical Aussie light comedy drama.

Easy to get into and follow.

We've nearly finished Riverdale Season 5. Absolute nonsense. I think the writers were actively trying to get this cancelled. It does give it a certain charm though.

I'm amazed you've got that far. I loved season 1, season 2 was absolute nonsense and as far as I've heard it's only gone downhill from there with even the cast mocking it in interviews

Like when Emilia Clarke was asked about GoT season 8 and replied "Best season ever!" with her best WTF face on.

It's just bonkers. Storylines are all over the shop and then they'll just have a random musical episode. It was in the camp of being so bad it was entertaining, but it's on the cusp of just being bad now. So naturally we'll watch season 6 and 7 lol.

Currently watching "No Escape" on Paramount +. Not bad but you don't really feel much empathy with any of the characters, most of whom seem to be criminals or ne'er do wells to some extent. Got one more episode to go this evening so hope the tangled plot makes some sense at the end.

Als watching "Norsemen". Definitely an acquired taste, being a home brew Norwegian parody of all the other Viking type shows. The first season was quite funny, the second ended on a cliffhangar, not continued with the third which is actually a prequel. At least it's not dubbed with the largely Norwegian cast doing two takes, one in their own lanaguage and one in English but the problem is some of the actors are so heavily accented or mumble (or both) it can be very hard to make out some of the dialogue.

Finished Ash Vs Evil Dead. Weird little show, like chaos distilled into television. I think if you don't go in with high expectations you'll enjoy it. There is no kind of character development or plot arcs really, 90% of characters introduced die in the next 5 mins but it's funny. Campbell is as brilliant as ever and the supporting cast that does live more than 5 mins is very good. Will be interesting to see if the animated next step continues from the end of the series.

The Gryphon
There's a dubbed version for people who can't handle subtitles

the long way round.
fun in places. probably more so for motorcyclists.
dont think id want to lug a loaded down GS1250 off road for any distance to be honest.

After a particularly rough night with one of my kids, I decided to give Dark another shot while he was sleeping on me. Originally watched the first episode and then never got any further. Holy moly, three episodes watched and I'm utterly hooked.
Thanks was looking for something new to watch....so far first episode very good

Just finished Brooklyn Nine Nine. Kind of sad to see it go but, TBH, it's had it's time. There were several episodes in the last couple of seasons that were stupidly and blatantly preachy too. To the point of not being funny, just holy-than-thou.

The best one in their series.

Long way down is ok, but ruined by Ewans wife in parts.

Long way up is poor imo.

Probably my favourite isn't a Long way....show, but Race to Dakar which cover's Charlie's attempt at the Dakar. As annoying as he is, he can certainly ride.

As for the GS, nah made no sense (though nothing works well in mud). Given Ewan's many many millions you'd think they would just buy bike rather then go begging to manufacturers.

Started Ted Lasso. 3 Episodes in so far and I'm enjoying it. I can tell it must be decent as I wanted to watch a 4th last night but the requirement of sleep won the argument

Just finished Marianne, a French horror type thing on Netflix. Curtesy of someone who left French Netflix signed in at the apartment we're renting :D

Not a bad show if you don't mind subtitles. The odd annoying character, but some funny bits too.
