What TV shows are you currently watching

@Andrew_McP thanks for the link. Heard good things about Yellowstone. Since The Untouchables, Costner has always been one of my favourite actors so it's on the watchlist!

Bosch and Ozark. Started but never finished. Both have drawn me back in! Both particularly good shows.

Started watching The Expanse on Amazon prime after seeing so many people recommending it here over the years. Not sure why I've waited so long, but I'm up to episode nine of the first season, and I'm loving it. Can't wait to work through the remaining seasons. I've not read too much as I don't want to risk spoilers, but does it wrap up nicely or was it cancelled before it could?

Oh yeah the Expanse is excellent.

It gets better second season, actually I think the second season is the best, it trails off a little after that (imo) but still very good.

The Sixth Commandment and I can't recommend this highly enough.

Although I had seen a few documentaries on this, I hadn't quite realised the extent that the murderer went to.

It was far more horrific and grim than any of the documentaries had insinuated.

Really powerful and hard-hitting acting.
Thanks for this posting, I've watch a couple of episodes, I knew nothing of the RL story, and to be honest for the first good while I thought it was a rather slow placed love killing, but it really kicked on and have enjoyed it (if thats the right word to use for this).

Currently have a free trial of Apple TV and started watching For All Mankind the other day. First two episodes seemed a bit slow and I wasn't sure if I'd continue with it but then it picked up and became more interesting. Now I'm hooked and currently halfway through season 3 already :D
(And Joel Kinnaman is an added bonus )

Also started Hijack and counting down to the next episode now

Started watching Veep. Very much enjoying it. It reminds me of Arrested Development a bit, in the pacing of the jokes, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus really is one of the best comedy performers.

Had a long day and since I had a Prime trial, put The Rig on as I vaguely remember seeing a not-terrible review ages ago.

It is terrible, and reminded me why I don't watch TV anymore, and went back to my book.

Yeah I really didn't understand the rave reviews. I tried to like it and watched it all way through hoping it would get better but just felt ridiculous in places. They've been approved for season 2 though

I binged it while laid up in bed at the start of May, half decent first episode that quickly descended into sillyness but as I was a bit hazy, it was an easy watch without the need to engage my brain too much.

I enjoyed playing the mini game of seeing just how many Game of Thrones/Line of Duty actors I could spot :D

Yeah tbf I only watched it because of Martin Compston :D

This thread is good for recommendations, so I might consider something that two or three people have recommended. I then check the show's IMDb score. If it's over 6.5/7 ish and sounds like my kind of show, I'll give it a go.

I don't think anyone in here recommended it? (I've not searched to check) and IMDb has it at 5.8, which generally means it's not very good.

You just need a better way of selecting shows :p (It's very seldom I end up watching something that isn't good, let alone something actually bad)

I normally just turn the TV off and do something else if I find myself browsing....but I'd had a particularly busy day and wanted to just watch something for a few minutes in the absence of some sport to watch (stupid weather ). Amazon recommended a bunch of stuff to me and this premise looked ok.

Think I might just rewatch The Terror actually, similar themes, but actually good.

Watched a couple of episodes of Midnight Mass and enjoying it so far. Liked Haunting of Hill House and Haunting of Bly Manor so hope this turns out as good. These series are more creepy than outright scary although there is one scene in Haunting of Hill House than made me leap off the sofa and scream.
car trip?
