What TV shows are you currently watching

We've started rewatching outnumbered the bbc comedy about a family with 3 young kids staring hugh dennis. We find the kids hilarious, iirc as the kids get older the show stops being as funny but the first few seasons are great, it feels like a lot of the kids lines are ad libbed.

It just had to be - it's an absolutely brilliant series throughout and it's lack of reliance on cheap jump scares is testament to its excellent writing, I rate Flanagan very highly as both writer and director.

Have you seen his earlier movie Hush?
Not seen that but looks interesting with the connection to Midnight Mass. I have Oculus to watch at some point.

The only other film of his I've seen is Gerald's Game which was a bit slow but enjoyed it.

Went back to finish off the final series of Killing Eve - what a fall from grace, first 3 seasons were top tier. Now I, along with the actors seem to just be going through the motions to finish this off in the hope of a great finale - 3 episodes left.
Finished it off entirely last night, what the hell was that final episode, I can understand the poor 3.4/10 score on IMDB now, i'm struggling to articulate my annoyance.

While based on how S4 has been overall, I hadn't expected anything amazing but this was almost offensive to the viewer.

Latest season of titans on Netflix, cookie cutter marvel series, watchable but forgettable. If i didn't have a thing for raven i probably not bother watching tbh.

Watched Ep1 of Lioness and was the typical Taylor Sheridan I guess. Well made and presented, rather overly dramatic and 'oh my god, this Burger King employee is actually the smartest, fittest, most badass person on the planet'. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure I'm going to enjoy it, but it's things like oooh, how will she gain her marks confidence? Oh, she'll just bump into her and get invited along... erm... okay.

...and was the typical Taylor Sheridan
I do like his style for high impact, wham, bam in your face action/drama TV these days - albeit with some amount of plotholes and unresolved threads (yellowstone, i'm looking at you)

For his faults and occasionally sloppy writing, i'd still take any of his shows over the safe rinse and repeat formulaic nonsense most studios are churning out for the Xth season.

He earnt my respect very early on with his writing for movies like Sicario (favourite movie of that decade), Wind River and Hell or High Water.
