What TV shows are you currently watching

Jumped into watching Manifest and 9 episodes into S1...I gave up watching Lost many moons ago! Hopefully this keeps me interested to complete S1 as S2 & S3 are not on Netflix.
I'm about 8 episodes into season 2 and i'm enjoying it. i paid for a months sub to Now as seasons 2 and 3 are on it, season 4 and the ending afaik on netflix.

Having heard various good things around Happy Valley over the years but avoiding it to not really liking Sarah Lancashire I finally watched the first episode yesterday.

It does a great job of quickly establishing characters and stakes and i'm drawn in eager to watch more - however my one problem is i'm sure there is a League of Gentleman actor and I can't unsee the nose. :D
Dont want to build it up but episode 3 is

I've just started re-watching The Sorpranos... after my Godfather-fest.

The quality is generally great, but it really feels like a 90s show. The production and 'mini-plot of the week' stuff is lacking compared to modern day stuff. Still, very watchable.

I really like Sopranos but the quality of the earlier seasons isn't great, very much of it's time - some of the 'action' scenes are outright terrible.

It's the later seasons that really shine.

After watching Vikings and the last kingdom enjoyed both, I needed another fix so watched vikings valhalla completed it within a week 2 seasons

It wasnt as good as the other two maybe because depth wasn't as deep to the characters but still enjoyed it I do find that period in history interesting even made me read up on it and watch docs :)

I did a follow up post about ep 3 - yup, that was bleak.

One episode to go for S1.
Ahh I see you did now but yeah sometimes you see certain situations in a show and it smacks you in the face and you are left thinking about it for days. Doesn't happen that often. I think what intensified it was the radio beacon(not sure what the correct terminology is).

Definitely stayed with me, I often get into the heads of characters in situations like that, over empathise I guess and it left me feeling quite disturbed.

I may wander downstairs and watch the final episode now, I really want to see Tommy meet a bitter end.

I just thought it was a bit odd and not a serious drama. Very much like the last series of Sherlock.

Shame really.

They're taken a few liberties with the plot of the original book (the Treatment, by Mo Hayder), for very understandable reasons. The daughter in the house is a small boy in the book, for example.

The baddies remind me a bit of the baddies in Funny Games.

I love the books by Mo Hayder and have all of them! They are so dark and grim! I was gutted that she sadly died and from such a horrific disease too :(
