I found that the early episodes were great, but the later ones just got farcical, and now can't bring myself to watch the following seasons.

Cross- I've not read the alex cross books but the mrs has she says the series doesn't follow the books story at all.
I thought it started alright but gets worse as it goes on, still got the last episode to watch tonight.
The Mrs is enjoying it though.

I've started watching Gotham and enjoying it so far - 5 episodes in.

3 episodes into Ghosts (the US version) after the wife saw a clip and said we should give it a go.
I was looking for an easy-watch-comedy and it certainly fills that gap.
Interestingly, I looked up the original UK version it is based on, and it looks awful by comparison.

Funnily enough, we watched the UK version and loved it, we saw a trailer for the US one, and it looked terrible. UK one has a great cast!

Just finished SAS: Rogue Heroes, halfway through Tempest and need something else to start! Haven't watched anything AMAZING in ages, though. Just lots of average/better than average stuff

It is quite interesting indeed, I just find the US cast of ghosts more varied and interesting, more time periods, personalities and range of ages, the UK ghosts are all a bit drab and samey to me.
Plus the UK husband is a bit too goofy, and Thorfin is a better 'very old ghost' vs the caveman imo.

It not like some of the abominations of US takes of UK shows, like The Inbetweeners (yeesh!).

That’s fair enough, I love the Julian and Pat characters, they’re brilliant in other shows too. There are some annoying ones, the caveman being one of them.
Interestingly, the UK version has a better rating on IMDB with similar numbers voting.
I’m downloading the US show now so will give it a go.
