What TV shows are you currently watching

Just finished 2nd season of Ozark, loving it. Jack Ryan, alright, sneaky Pete - 5 eps in and liking it. Not sure what I'll go for next!

just ran through my yearly viewing of Band of Brothers.
Still the best bit of television in television history, Joseph Liebgott telling the Jewish prisoners to get back in the camp so the medics can monitor their food intake. utter lump in the throat moment.

Don't judge me but Handmaids Tale for the second time, missus got hooked on it so i'm partially rewatching the first two seasons.

I want to say in the strongest possible terms, don't discount this based on a cursory glance at the subject, it's in my mind, an actual horror series and not just for women by any stretch of the imagination.

It's pretty bleak in that it features ritualised rape/forced surrogacy, stonings, eye removal/burnings/limb removals as punishment, hangings, suicide bombings, gunning down of public crowds, on the spot executions.

Can't recommend it enough...does get a bit SJW preachy in parts but it's all fairly relevant.

Woooo!

Watched the first episodes of the new seasons of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (still FANTASTIC) and also our guilty pleasure Outlander.

Gonna rinse them before my Prime expires in a few days, haha

1983 (on Netflix) - I guess because 1984 was already taken. Same premise though. Dystopian surveillance state in this Polish conspiracy Thriller. Extremely compelling, intelligent and well made.

I loved it, until it has gone all sci-fi, now I'm not so sure. Love the alternate history they have created.

I was enjoying this but i went off it when they went down that path. Not that I don't enjoy scifi, it is one of my fave genres, i just don't think i wanted or expected the show to tread the path it did or looks to be headed down.
I love alternate history, so i do intend to revisit it and see if it keeps me interested,
but i think i would have prefered it if the story carried on without the world switching or whatever was being introduced. I'll have to watch it and see.

Black Mirror. Really enjoyed seasons 1 and 2 as a whole, but some episodes were rubbish. Will just watch recommended/rated episodes from seasons 3 and 4.

For those who can't really binge watch series anymore, I'd highly recommend this as each episode is standalone so you aren't left on a cliffhanger itching to watch the next. I think my fave ones so far are white bear, the entire history of you, and be right back. Some others were 'okay', the waldo episode was a waste of time.

Season 4 Episode 5 "Metal head" is worth watching .

Just finished series three of Man on the High Castle. It got boring.

I see that there is likely to be a fourth but I doubt I'll bother.

Just finished the 'Ken Block gymkhana files', do love a bit of Ken Block, was really interesting to see how they set up and filmed all the various gymkhana shows he has done over the last few years, my favourite was the Pikes Peak one. Well worth a watch if you are into your cars.
