What TV shows are you currently watching

Started the first episode of The White Lotus last night based on some really positive reviews here. I'm not sure it's my thing if I'm honest as it feels a bit reality tv genre, will give it one more episode though

Married at first site - australia.
Not something i would choose to watch, happened to be on tv while i was nearby and one of the girls was a maniac. Gotta watch next episode now, like a car crash

That lady who lives her CV and the Andrew Tate-Lite. Both despicable people who deserve each other!

I've started S2 of Ozark. Really enjoying it

It doesn't get much better in my opinion.

Edit - ah, I thought you meant first episode of the latest season.

Is anyone watching Towards Zero on the BBC?
I have now watched two episodes, being a Christie fan I was interested.

My thoughts are that they have absolutely butchered the script and tried to make it for a 'modern' audience with language that just is not right and some scenes that are just absolutely baffling, e.g the sex act on the stairs, totally out of place. At least the location and costumes are good to look at.

Virdee on the bbc IPlayer.

I wasn't expecting much to be honest but I actually found it surprisingly good!

It seemed to also have tiny bits of inspiration from the Saw films and Silence of the Lambs.

Definitely recommend.
Yes the penultimate episode of Virdee was either a homage to or inspired by Saw. The "Bollywood In Bradford" style was quite entertaining too, though the characters constantly switching from English to Indian got a bit wearing at times. A few unresolved issues at the end of the last episode presumably setting up for a Season 2.

Other watches, continuing on with Foundation alongside the books. You can see where some of the ideas came from in the show, but the books are (maybe) better. In fact there is no space travel at all in the two prequels, at the end of Forward The Foundation
Hari dies an old man on Trantor, there is no cloning and Dawn/Day/Dusk version of the Cleons
which is very much different to the TV series.

Think I'll give it a miss then.

I've been getting into watching things on ITV+ and although the adverts are annoying, thankfully they're not too long.

So I watched the drama about the post office scandal and it was excellent. It even had me in tears at several points at how appallingly they were treated. All those lies and hounding was just disgusting.

What an incredible and amazing hero Mr. Bates is.

Also watched the drama about Raul moat and Little Boy blue about the 11 year old shot and murdered in Liverpool.

Both really well done and I particularly loved Stephen Graham in Little Boy Blue.

I also watched the documentary on the poor women who were deceived by those MI5 officers.
Again another awful situation to have happened.

I also watched the real life documentary on The Unforgotten. So glad that in the end her horrible husband was found guilty and is now in prison.

The Pitt.
Wasnt sure if it was jsut more ER but its really its own thing. Liking the format of it being filmed over the hours of a single shift ( a'la 24) but shorter. Some of the acting's is great in it an Noah Wyle. Some big heart-breaking moments in it.
Getting a lot of praise from ER attending docs as well for how accurate the medical stuff is and at times does not shy away for how gross some accidents can present themselves.

Yellowjackets S3. Last episode was amazing.

Did a search but can't find a thread even though it's on it's 3rd season now! Any other fans?

My wife decided she wanted to watch Yellowstone. Not the sort of thing I'd usually watch and that isn't going to change. Some interesting characters but the plot and melodrama is total crap.

That reminds me, I never finished watching that! ;) Will add it to the queue.

Paradise got better as it went on and was pretty good by the time the season ended.
these kinda shows often are limited. under the dome was why it ended. snow piercer same idea. once the cat is out the bag its basically over.

American Primeval , well that was thoroughly depressing thought the Revenant was a bad enough depiction of the american west but this beats it , 8/10
How the bloke never put a bullet through that womens head the second time she dropped them in it though , lol.

Huh?! I thought season 2 finished it off.

That will be on my watchlist. Season 1 was good, season 2 had its moments, but I thought they rushed an ending to finish the show. Christina Ricci is absolutely fantastic in it.

Just a 2 year delay due to the actors/writers strike (like many recent returning shows), the story continues exactly after the traumatic end of Season 2. It's currently on Episode 6 of 10 from Season 3 and the latest episode was a proper mic drop moment that makes you question everything! The YellowJackets in the flashbacks get even more dark and depraved this season...

Christina Ricci/Misty is also my favourite, with Shauna coming a close second.
