Yes, that last season was a bit of weird one. It also had 21 episodes instead of the usual 13 which could suggest it wasn't as well planned out. They nearly had enough extra episodes for a season 7.
 
Just finished watching Black Summer, short sharp and pretty damn intense watch. Probably one episode that was a bit iffy rest was amazing.

I loved it too. It was set in the Z Nation universe but I thought it was much better quality.

The general treatment of characters was brilliant but the ending in particular as they approached the goal. Holy damn I would never have called that. Really hope they do a second season.

No. It's a completely different story, but just set earlier. Z Nation is set a long time after the initial outbreak while Black Summer is the outbreak.

I read something today on screenrant where the creator said the two are not related at all and any earlier hints/ideas that they are a similar story world etc are false.

@MoRT489 i had never and still have never seen Z nation and understood everything perfectly, it's literally starting from the start.

In one of the early Z Nation episodes they refer to the outbreak as Black Summer but that's the only similarity I coukd see.
 
I would love to see a zombie show that does the outbreak properly, the Walking Dead’s attempt (Fear The Walking Dead) was awful, so I will watch this. Thanks for the replies.

I enjoyed it! Especially the first 2 seasons, then it got a bit samey and then wtf we're at the same time as TWD - why?!

Another vote for Train to Busan too. I'm also just about to start Black Summer.
 
Watching series two of Discovery and Orville.

Every so often I have to remind myself which one is the comedy...

Those shows seem to be a bit backwards. Discovery got better in season two compared to one. Orville was better in S1. And the social commentary that ST is so famed for the Orville did better.
 
Discovery is pretty much nonsense half the time.

Orville at least knows it is nonsense and tries to have a bit if fun with it.

8/10 Entertaining for another witch, vampire, etc type tv show. The characters were pretty good, sometimes there was to much of a love story feel but not enough to sour me completely. Good enough that I checked to see if there was going to be a second season, there is, so we’ll see where it goes from here.

Yeah, it's a bit like a poor english take on the twilight series.......still enjoyable, just not sure how long it will last
