What was the first football match you went to?

Villa Vs Spurs for some reason, can't remember the date but David Platt scored a hat-trick as Villa won 3-2.

At Villa Park?

If it was, i went to watch that game with the boys team i used to play for, after some sort of training day with some coaches form Villa's youth set up.

First match was Villa v Man Utd at Villa park (boxing day 1990 i think). Villa won 3-0

Aye it was at Villa.

january 94 - Middlesbrough v Grimsby Town at Aryesome Park, absolutely hated it was very bored and spent more time walking about the holgate end that actually watching the game :p but i do know that Paul Wilkinson (became my fav player after a few games) scored the only goal.

First got my season ticket in the 94/95 season though, Bryan Robsons first season in charge.

Ashford Town V Salisbury Town in the er...*scratches head* Dr Ryman's Eastern division or something like that. This was years ago, I remember the tannoy system announcing that Arsenal had Drawn with Paris St Germain and were through to the European Cup Winners Cup Final for the first time since 1973 (ish). So this match had to be late on in the season in 1994.

The first time I was in a premiership ground was to see England U21 V Portugal U21 at Goodison Park

The frist premiership match I saw was also at Goodison Park, Everton 1 v 4 Arsenal 2 seasons ago.

First time I was at Highbury was to see Arsenal V Chelsea in the FA cup a few years ago, Reyes had just been signed and went on to score twice. Woohoo!!

I can't remember the very first professional game I went to as my Dad used to drag me and brothers to Brentford from a very early age but the first one I do remember going to is a Man. U. v Brentford FA cup game at OT c1975. Brentford went 1 up and all the neanderthal Man .U. fans with scarves on their wrists wanted to kill us, it was quite intimidating for a young lad, not so now;)
The first game I remember seeing on TV was the Chelsea v Leeds FA cup final in 1970-71:)

Took a while to find on soccerbase but it was Orient v Spurs in the Milk Cup on 23rd September 1985. We beat Spurs 2-0 and Kevin Godfrey scored both goals. It's been mostly downhill ever since. 2nd game I went to was the away leg and Spurs tonked us 4-0. Apart from the scoreline the only thing I really remember was a huge inflatable milk bottle in the middle of the pitch before the game started.

I think my first game was Newcastle V Nottingham Forest in the mid 1980's when my dad took me for the first time. We lost 3-0.

It was in the old cow shed main stand before the Milburn Stand was built.

Never lost my taste for St James's Perk though. :)

I'm not 100% sure what my first game was.

It will have been in Liverpool when I was about 6-7 but could have been either Anfield or Goodison (My grandad used to take me to games occasionally when we went up to visit but he was a blue as was most of that side of my family).

I've got a programme from a Liverpool-Arsenal game from around '85/'86 and I've got vague memories of being at Goodison for a Merseyside derby where Liverpool were winning 3-1 or 2-1 and Everton were throwing everything at us and hit the bar from distance.
