What was the first online multiplayer game you played?

Myth of Soma, on AOL dial-up.
It was Game Networks MMO along side Legend of Mir, I was quite a well known PK'er in those days.
God I hate faction based pvp.

think mine was soldier of fortune 2, never even touched the single player part of that game, MP was too much fun :D pitty they dont make games like that anymore :(

Quake 2 was the first game I played over the internet*. Played a lot of Doom, Quake etc. over LAN before that tho back when LAN parties were the rage.

*Jumped in a server with 13 players with 300+ms ping probably hosted on a single ISDN channel and was like uuuugh.

Played Halo 2 on the original Xbox at a friends house.

Then my first online game was Unreal Tournament 2003 :)

C&C Red Alert I think, via direct dialup!

This! :D We used to play Age of Empires on the school network as well, even the IT (and maths) teacher joined in with us. Trick was to get to 49 units, build lots of barracks/stables etc and then hammer the build queue to get round the 50-unit limit!

Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, that game was for pro's and it was such a sick FPS.

Played it competitvely for about three years. Been meaning to re-installing it on my new desktop for a play.
