Didn't you say that after your last watch purchase

it's what everyone says until the next one
And likely for the next one hah! My remarks are solely based on the present, if a brand releases a killer watch I love in the future, then it can't be helped!
When I got the Baltic bronze i had no idea the Stowa 36mm bronze Flieger existed, so the moment I found out the mission was set lol.
What's next on the to buy list then
I'd quite like a pilot style watch or chronograph, but it would need to be the right size /thickness and price.
I think with either Laco or Stowa you won't go wrong. Between them they cover 36mm, 39mm, 40mm and larger so certainly sizes that cover all tastes. Well worth an explore. They also have the basic range as well as the higher end range so budgets are catered to as well.
Next on the cards? Genuinely no idea. but I do want to sell the Laco and get a Laco hand wind version (Kempten 39mm) just to complete the all hand wind trio of pilot watches. A Grand Seiko is a desire in the future but not something I am rushing over. It will scratch the Spring Drive itch but that's about it I think whereas these pilot watches have deep history with each brand and each stand on their own as unique watches with little details third party replicas don't have for example. The surprising thing for me is there are not more of them out there being worn. Seems dive watches have basically taken over the wrist real estate in modem times
That Stowa does look great mrk!
In many ways it reminds me of the
NOMOS Ahoi Atlantik I had couple years ago. The look and feel reminds me of the NOMOS back then but the fit and finish is as good as, if not better than the NOMOS which feels weird to say as the NOMOS is in the £3000 price range, Just goes to show how much price increase an in-house high grade movement commands even though both the Episilon in the NOMOS and SW215-1 Top in the Stowa are equally decorated with perlage/stripes, blued screws and bits of gold...
The added bonus of the Flieger being that the bronze finish has oodles more character
Anyway here's one more shot I promise.
Three pilots walk into a bar....
