Omega went up on Tuesday. I bought my AT on Sunday and it seemed all Omega watches were going up at least 4% across the board.
I paid c. £1750 ten years ago so I think it is great value at the discounted price. Thanks for the mini reviewAny chance of some pics? I guess £1570 is a decent price for one brand new?

I'll grab some pictures this evening.
Tbh I'd wait for something you really want else it's a false economy.
The Chronoscope is very nice indeed, although I think I'd be trying something new rather than buying something so similar!
I'm showing incredible restraint to not double up on Speedys by getting a Chronoscope (I love that dial) and Seamasters by getting the NTD version![]()
Ivan summarised my response to you perfectly:The Chronoscope is very nice indeed, although I think I'd be trying something new rather than buying something so similar!
I do really want the watch though, that's the problem![]()
Well that was my point I think - I couldn't remember if I got posters mixed up. If you want the Speedy then no point blowing £xk on a Longines that you "don't want".Or maybe I'll just go the whole hog and get a speedmaster
Watches are not a cheap hobby![]()

£2k deposit on the Speedy and then like 30 quid a month for 2 years IMO.I do want the longines though
Of course I'd want a speedy more, but I can't possibly see myself spending 5k on a watch anytime soon
That said, the speedy is a little on the chunky side at 13mm...
The new one wears a bit less chunky, if that makes any difference! I got my New sapphire sandwich for 5.5k (used but with stickers) so maybe you just need to go for it!That said, the speedy is a little on the chunky side at 13mm...
Oh I do like those. I'd love a DayDate but the fact that they're only in precious metals makes it almost impossible for me to get (ever). I wish they were a bit less bling tooIvan summarised my response to you perfectly:
You're right though. I think my next move will be a tragic but necessary (for me) Rolex DateJust jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel; Rhodium dial.
Tudor DayDate on the cardsOh I do like those. I'd love a DayDate but the fact that they're only in precious metals makes it almost impossible for me to get (ever). I wish they were a bit less bling too![]()
Think I'd be buying an IWC Mark XVIII instead at that sort of moneyTudor DayDate on the cards![]()
You mean 10 years lol.£2k deposit on the Speedy and then like 30 quid a month for 2 years IMO.![]()
As I clicked off the page I did think "hmm that was distinctly 'man maths' versus actual maths"You mean 10 years lol.
The date window cutting off 60% of "6" is rather annoying!
