What watch do you wear?

I paid c. £1750 ten years ago so I think it is great value at the discounted price.

I'll grab some pictures this evening.

Thanks :) I think RRP is £2200 or something, so it seems a decent saving. I love the look of the watch, just not sure I can justify it so soon after buying the hydroconquest :(

:p

I'm showing incredible restraint to not double up on Speedys by getting a Chronoscope (I love that dial) and Seamasters by getting the NTD version :D

Or maybe I'll just go the whole hog and get a speedmaster :D

Watches are not a cheap hobby :(
Well that was my point I think - I couldn't remember if I got posters mixed up. If you want the Speedy then no point blowing £xk on a Longines that you "don't want".

I do want the longines though :p

Of course I'd want a speedy more, but I can't possibly see myself spending 5k on a watch anytime soon :(

That said, the speedy is a little on the chunky side at 13mm...

£2k deposit on the Speedy and then like 30 quid a month for 2 years IMO.

The new one wears a bit less chunky, if that makes any difference! I got my New sapphire sandwich for 5.5k (used but with stickers) so maybe you just need to go for it!
Ivan summarised my response to you perfectly:

:D:cry:

You're right though. I think my next move will be a tragic but necessary (for me) Rolex DateJust jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel; Rhodium dial.
Oh I do like those. I'd love a DayDate but the fact that they're only in precious metals makes it almost impossible for me to get (ever). I wish they were a bit less bling too :p

Barton Bands' canvas two pieces arrived, got a dark blue one and this grey camo which I think suits the Hamilton superbly. Nice thing to keep on rotation. I'm really annoyed I've lost a vintage Hamilton buckle too, cannot think where it could have gone :/

Do like canvas though for their breathable nature. Quickly dry when washed too.

The date window cutting off 60% of "6" is rather annoying!

Personal irks.
Pretty sure that almost every human brain has the agility to extrapolate.....
other people's personal irks might favour an off-centre date window even less than a truncated 6 digit - like some Seikos have at the 4 o'clock position - and what a hard time some people give them for that.
It's a design choice and it's reflected across the market quite extensively (I think my Citizen ecodrive has a truncated 6).
