What watch do you wear?

I imagine rotating bezel on a plastic case may cause too many issues for them given the need to have some form of metal on metal interface (the lug holes are still a question). Be interesting to know how the cast plastic cases stand up to the a typical 200/300m depth rating.

Sorry, Plasteramic. Or is it Ceramastic.

I would imagine if (it will be) the Speedmaster version is successful they'll look at making other variants in affordable packages for the masses and we'll see metal case versions now they know they'll sell like hotcakes

I'd be very surprised if they do - they've already made a quartz Seamaster in the past and currently still make a 'ladies' quartz Seamaster, and if they come out with a SweaMaster quartz with a metal case...
Seems too toe-steppy to me.

One thing I can say is that this was unexpected, so who knows what they'll do next!

I imagine the suits will be coming up with a fabulously long list of garbage crossovers.

Family day today and saw my uncle had on a new watch, from a distance I thought it was a Hublot but then I saw it was not. Looking a bit closer...

£565 going by their website! https://gamages.london/watch/limite...c/?attribute_pa_color=rose&variation_id=12872

How can they get away with this sort of ask given the low specs and base Seiko 5 levels of movement finishing?

Also their site says 20 jewels, the rotor says 21 jewels...

My uncle said I could keep it if I wanted as he's got a case full of other watches anyway. I politely declined the offer :p

It even says militant on the back!

What is that chronograph? Central secs, 60min sub, 12hr sub? And then a day sub and date window?

It's a shame you put the price in as now I can't ask what the gamage was :p

The Gamage, hah that's a nice one, normally that's my kind of joke, but not today :D

As for the sub dials, I forced myself to stop thinking about it and refuse to think about it any further :p

I actually was over Covent Garden yesterday to see Batman and figured stop by a/all Swatch stores to maybe catch a glimpse of this in the afternoon. Nope. All stores closed because of overwhelming demand

Why people queue for something that is going to be made in unlimited numbers... boggles the mind.

Looks like basic dye sublimation print without any sealant to stop it from transferring. Seriously starting to get a 'free with mcdonalds happy meal' vibe to the watches now, glad I've gone off the idea of buying one lol.

Don't know what the poster was expecting weight wise though, it's a quartz watch made of plastic....from a quick google it's 29g.

I haven’t bought a watch in years but I loved swatch growing up. Loads of unique designs I would say it was more an accessory to match a distinct look. Was big into rollerblades at the time, late 90s. Certain brands started to make their way to the UK, when choosing trainers such as VANS, etc. I probably had 5-6 different swatch watches by the end.

Because it's currently store only and limited to two locations, so the scalpers will pounce and try to make some bucks ahead of the online orders going live. Just shows how many are lurking in the shadows !

Someone's queried the authenticity of that watch - there's no text on the case back itself of that one, just around the edge.

Be interesting to know more. But it wouldn't surprise me if the colour does indeed bleed.

They sell those on the shopping channels for sub £100. Just Chinese cheap stuff sold for many times it's production cost.

It’s a cheap plastic swatch… I don’t know what anyone was expecting ..? Edit / I use the word cheap loosely here, you can get a much better watch for the cost of one of these.
