What watch do you wear?

Eying up a second hand black bay chrono for about 3k. It's the reverse panda version, which is probably why it's been reduced in price a bit. Shame it's a 3 hour drive to go and view it. Not sure what the returns policy is on second hand items.

I dunno, I quite like that. So the running second dial does a complete sweep in 10 secs, or it jumps in 10 sec increments?
It may be 5 seconds rather than 10 at a time. But it sweeps round rather than jumps then you wait again for the 5 or 10 seconds then it sweeps again. Almost as if it lags before figuring out what seconds it needs to be at

Is reverse a white face or black face? Really like the look of these!

well my dhgate monaco turned up after 4 months , not quite what was pictured on dhgate , it was supposed to have no writing on the dial .

3 oclock dial is a 24 hr not seconds dial , chrono works suprisingly.
strap is genuine leather (genuine plastic leather).
dont know why they wrote quartz then put calibre 12 on there as well

got this to see if a square watch is for me and must admit it is , now just got to decide do i want the Heuer original with crown on left or the new Tag with it on the right.

Its a 24 hour dial that has the appearance of a seconds dial?

What's the other one, a moon phase dial that goes up to 30? :p

Latest addition, a GBD-200, wanted a semi smart watch again but didn't want to go back to a full fat one, this seems like a good compromise, Casio reckon the battery will last two years but even if it lasts a year that's a win in my book.

Wanted it mostly because of the step counter and notifications, got it on BF for £80 delivered, normally runs £120 so happy with that.

My most worn watch of the year was the Apple Ultra watch, sadly I’m a slave to it as I work out almost daily and wear it all the time to monitor stuff.

the watch that I worn for the longest period without switching was the Casio f91w in baby blue, I love the simplicity of it and wore it none stop for the week on holiday aboard even thou I took 3 watches with me. I brought the other colourways apart from black when I got back home now I have 7 of them.

the watch that I would have liked to have worn more of was my speedmaster 1861, but by the time I wind it up and set the time… I grabbed one of the two moon swatches instead.

watches on the wanted list next year is the g shock 6900 multiband solar version, I don’t have a 3 eyes in my collection and want one before they switch out the backlight. I’ve been eying either the pelagos 39 or the solargraph as a daily driver for over a year now, it’s just been a case of never enough time to think about it and get one but with wearing the Apple Watch everyday, I’m not sure how much wrist time either would get now and it’s just likely to sit in the watch box with the rest of them.

how’s your year been in terms of watches?

I knew I wanted a Lorier Hydra Zulu when it was announced, then prevaricated and totally missed out. Just found a supposedly barely-worn example on eBay at a non-scalpy price so went for it. Hopefully arriving in the next couple of days.

A recent macro of the Pioneer

it's been incredibly hard to get the boxed crystal distortion subtly on camera without getting too many optical uniformity issues I didn't like, but this works. I like that this crystal is mineral, so has better anti glare properties than sapphire, but then it also has double AR coating which is virtually unheard of for a mineral crystal, especially at the £550ish these went for new.

Edit*
Not wearing this for a few days is a bit tedious at times, takes 63 crown turns to fully wind :o

That’s very pretty. Really like the case shape on these.

So, I've not worn my Seamaster for a few years and now it refuses to work. Tried winding, shaking etc. It'll run for maybe 20 seconds after a bit of a shake then stops... what the most cost efficient way of getting it sorted?

It's about 15 years old.

The oils have dried up so the movement needs a service. Any watchmaker that can service an Omega. The whole movement will be dismantled, every part cleaned and re-lubricated before being put back together then adjusted/regulated.

It's not a cheap process as it requires quite some labour time, but to give you an idea, here's the sort of thing that's involved:

Watching this, the most cost efficient way might be to get a new watch
