What watch do you wear?

The Christopher Ward magazine came through the post today. Some nice pieces on display indeed. The C1000 Typhoon looks amazing in the magazine photos but very cheap and lacking in class on their website stock photos.

Such a shame, the same applies for many of the CW watches, their stock website photos don't do them justice. :/

They're a vast improvement on what they used to look like but still sub-par. I've owned quite a few CW but can't get excited now they've upped their prices.

Yup take the C1000 I mentioned, selling at a shade over £1500... I know where my money would go for that price. It's nice but not £1500 nice.

Exactly. I like a lot of things about them. I spoke to Chris a couple of times and he seems like a good guy but I think they are a long way from where they started out in terms of value. Not bad, but not the great value USP they originally had. I am sure the economics of what they are doing have forced this situation but hey ho.

In typical bad boy style, I'm rocking a Zeno for a change...

What watch is that?

I think this is a common problem with so many watch brands, their stock photos are terrible and don't show off the quality/detail of the pieces.

I'm a big fan of this site which reviews both low and higher cost watches and their images/videos can really sell a cheaper watch compared to the brands own website.

"If" I bought another watch over the next couple of years I think a PVD one would be what I'd go for, black and silver combination. Just seen this: http://wornandwound.com/2013/06/26/lum-tec-300m-2-review/

Really like that!

The micro adjustment on the clasp is genius.

I made up a custom black titan rolex sub identical to that last night :p

I just picked this up for a light weight watch for daily use. I bought it without a strap, and have just used the 4 ring zulu to try it on. I think im gonna get a black nato with 2 orange stripes for it :D

Thanks for the link I have bookmarked :D

Haha that site is dangerous, so many nice watches. Tipping point for me picking up the Orient Sparta was seeing their review.

Luckily my Orient watch OCD now prevents me from branching off into other brands (think this will be my next purchase (http://wornandwound.com/2013/07/03/orient-star-classic-review/), however from their recent reviews I love all of these:-

Thanks for that link, I've now cancelled my earlier ordered and gone for something else at half the price ! :D

Feel much better, was a little uncomfortable spending £275 + duty/tax on top.

Now it's £114 :)

That's nice, shame the dial marker lume points are so tiny though, bit strange to have them so small on a dive watch but it does look nice. Bit chunky at 14mm too and coupled with being 42mm in size that's gonna have some heft on the wrist.

e: That Benarus is magical, love the case design.
