All this talk of Longines is giving me unexplained bulges in my pants.

When in NYC I tried on one of these http://www.longines.com/watches/heritage-collection/L2.733.4.02.2 - Well it was similar, but the smaller clock faces were white.

It was beautiful, made my Hamilton seem very heavy in comparison and the quality of it was incredible.

I then looked at the $3300 price tag and thought maybe not :(

Even the latest cheap quartz Conquest is a bargain!

Or my 50s manual wind!

I'd love a tonneau longines mind. That would be nice.

I think a dress watch from them should be one to have in time. They are nice but I don't like all polished cases now really, must be brushed or bead blasted or have mostly brushed with polished bits which is fine.

Anyone know where I can get a nice rich royal blue strap from? 20mm for a Christopher ward C9 Harrison? They have one on their website but in alligator at around £160. I was looking more at the 40-50 mark.

Cheers

Absolutely. I love my Hamilton and I'm not bored of it in the slightest, but the Longines just does things to me that is hard to describe :p

Anyone seen Seven Friday watches?

http://www.sevenfriday.com/

I think one of these will be my next buy. I really like the design and styling and they're not mega money, either.

I saw that on wind and worn (or something) and I do love that one, at least is different. It is rather big though.

Anyone wearing Bell & Ross? Tempted by BR3 chrono, what's the quality like and is the carbon surface durable?

Love mine - I have the Vintage 126.

The quality is as you would expect for a £2-3k watch. Guy I work with bought the more normal aircraft instrument style one on offer at a local jewellers at 40% off, I'd just been on holiday else I'd have bought one too.

I like the idea of the "print and try" thing on their website. Not seen that idea before with watches. That said, the thickness of a watch makes an enormous difference so, to be effective, you would need to print out some kind of 3D origami model.

You mean everyone doesn't have a 3D printer these days? :p

Bah, peasants! :D

(just to confirm, I don't have one either)

Yeah I have a Hamilton aswell and love it/would not get rid of it.

But that Longines is just HNNNGNGNGNGNGNGggggg.

Was speaking to a Swatch Group spokesman over the weekend and he was explaining all about the history of the group and showed me his Omega GMT.
