I'd sell a child for that rolex pam, mainly as it's different. I like something a bit different.

Hmmm perhaps one of my children - he has been a right ******* over the years - but I would keep the other two... :D My greatest difficulty in spending large amounts tends to be hiding it from "the powers that be".

what do most of you do re insurance? I have always added to my home contents but this is now marginally short of a grand a year, anyone tried any other way such as specialist insurers?

I was going to insure my Seamaster but just wear it all the time except for drunken nights out. If someone tried to mug me, i think I'd prefer to get stabbed!

at a bank? if so not reallyu ,uch use as they are to be worn not used as investment

mine are worn in rotation, and I swap them out at the bank, just don't keep them at home,

the safe deposit is not far from me, and I usually swap it over, when I go shopping on the Friday,

I also have a safe at home, that is rated to £10,000 in valuables, and I think £20,000 cash (not that there will ever be that amount of cash, I wish)

do you have a safe at home Rotty? that can also pull the premiums down a bit,

Right, I need to know where I can buy a strap like the one featured on this piece below, but in canvas with butterfly clasp:

Secondly, that brushed casing is glorious. Once my Hydro's warranty has expired I'm brushing all the gloss parts, seen a few guides on Watchuseek and it seems fairly straight forward (just time consuming).

no safe and not that practical due to use of a winder, leaving at bank is a def no for me as I would never get chance to swap them, the insurers initially wanted me to have a safe as a condition but I talked them out of it

ohhh I have seen some cracking safes with built in winders, only problem is that you could pick up a couple of Pateks, for the same price

shouldnt affect your warranty i wouldnt have thought, effectively you are just scratching the case

however, its not straighforward to do right, at least not under any sort of scrutiny, dont go at it yourself with a scotchbrite pad:o

the bergeron scratch pen

again i wouldn't, but its your funeral :p

The downside is the 2 pens and pad will cost approx £91 and I do have a dab hand at fine detail work – But still, I’d rather wait :p

A completely brushed Hydro case would look awesome :)

E: Besides, by that time it will have accumulated scuffs and scratches anyway so it won't be too much of a deal.
