What watch do you wear?

Hi, i have a hydroconquest same as MRK and would like to buy a quiet watch winder, does anyone have any recommendations please

Anybody know the rrp of a rolex gmt master 2? I'm after the standard steel version with black bezel. Also what if any discount could I get straight off the street?

Confused as I'm seeing 2nd hand ones from anything from 4k to 6.5k? Don't get it. They are all steel versions. Different bezel colours command different prices?

Discount off a steel sports Rolex from an ad? None I wouldn't imagine , prices you are seeing will be old models v the new one with improved bracelet ceramic bezel etc

a lot of the difference will be between older models and ceramic bezelled ones, on a steel one you will prob only get 5% off, 10% would be really good

No watch for me after all :(

Had the Tissot agent on the phone today, all the Ltd edition ones have already sold out.

Oh well, she saved me £1500 :D

The different bezel colours are iirc limited runs and are more collectable/lose less value (and sometimes gain value) in the future.

Search Chrono24 and you'll generally find the limited edition older rolex in the green/pepsi/coke colours are the ones selling for £10k+ while the standard ones sell for £4-5k

Partially correct re subs but not gmts

maybe.. have a nosey yourself.

Not many black GMTs once you hit £7k.

Linky

Anything over 7k is a discontinued model, with a few being collectable, but none were ever sold as limited edition models. There's no reason to pay over RRP for a new GMT Master II because they are readily available.

So after some extensive googling, im thinking about the following GMT watches. Any thoughts? seems all the other GMT watches out there dont work how you would expect.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m GMT

Rolex GMT Master II - Black Bezel/Dial

Grand Seiko Spring Drive Calibre 9R GMT

Regarding price, from an RRP perspective all three are pretty much the same.

Out of those 3 on looks alone, I would go Rolex > Omega > Seiko

I bought this on the 17th December after I kept looking at it through the shop window on about 5 different occasions.

The Rolex GMT definitely looks far nicer and more professional than the other two which look more like a dress watch than an everyday wearable whatever the occasion.

If only the easylink clasp was cloned on other bracelets.
