And yes, it does make a sound, not scratching as such, just gears i guess. All my watches with that makes a sound, some louder than others. The quietest is the Steinhart and as it happens, costs the most.

Makes sense, I suppose being alone in a quiet room doesn't help it either lol, I doubt I'll notice it while at work tomorrow.

When it's thousands of $US means that it's out of stock, normally around $150US. Be aware that when they come in stock they usually go out of stock very quickly.

I got mine from eBay, found a seller but he quickly sold out.

Raymond, how often does your parnis stop? Is there a certain way it should go when put down or something? Woke up every morning to see its stopped and I have to readjust the time...

It stops when power reserve reaches 0, simple as that. It doesn't stop if it says 20 and I sleep for 7 hours.
