What watch do you wear?

Quite like the look of the Tissot compared to the boss. Only recently started buying a few watches, so far a casio edifice, citizen red arrows model and the seiko diver. Had considered several Tissot models too.:)

I wondered if I should worry about watches with solar charging and auto adjustment! I do like your red arrows watch :D

Never looked that much so far into various movement types etc, just purchased what caught my eye, (and what I could afford tbh). Hence the citizen, liked the red/black combo and the price wasn't too bad. Not sure yet what the next purchase will be, but I quite like the look of the orient mako usa with blue dial. Posted up a few pages back.

Houston, the speedy has landed :)

Having tracked its journey overnight from Italy to the UK it arrived earlier today. It is in fabulous condition for a 1999 watch and has all papers, original warranty card, spare bracelet links and inner and outer boxes. (it's an Apollo 11 30th anniversary edition). There is some very minor wear on the underside and if I look very hard at an angle and against the light then I can just see some very minor marks on the glass. It is in better condition than I could have hoped for and really does look nearly new :)

I bought it from Cesare Paselli and can thoroughly recommend them. It was a bit nerve wracking sending quite a large amount of moneyt through bank transfer to them a few days ago. But they have been fantastic with great comms, fast delivery and very secure packaging.

I need to get the strap adjusted and I would probably not wear the metal strap at work as I have a desk job and would damage it. So I've bought a cheap black nato strap for now. I love the look of it on the nato too. I will get a brown leather strap to complete the set :)

Looks great

Thanks :)

Very nice mate, looks great on the nato.

I really like the look of it on the nato.

Love it! Saw one from my Birth year in stunning condition earlier this year, enquired about it but it was reserved :o

I was born in 1969 but could only afford them from that year if I compromised on quality. This was the next best thing (being a 30th anniversary it has my date of birth engraved on the back from the factory... 21st July 69).

Very nice. Is it an acrylic crystal model? If so the scratches should clean up nicely.

I believe it's hesalite so should polish nicely. But I really struggle to see the marks so I won't polish it yet.

Congrats on the Speedy, it's the watch I'm saving up for, I love the history of it.

They look lovely on a bracelet or leather strap (esp with contrast stictching).

I've also waited for years :)

Looks lovely - as a fellow owner I might be a little biased though!

Good choice on the hesalite, much better looking than the sapphire. Grab a tube of Polywatch and some cotton wool pads (not cotton buds, as you may just scratch the hesalite more when polishing) when it gets to the point where it needs tidying up. If it's in stunning condition however, that'll realistically be years from now, even if worn as a daily.

Looking good Hades :D

My guess is it's a rebranded Fossil watch (they make lots of watches for fashion houses).

So if you're buying for the name, then go for it. If you're going for it because it looks nice to you, then look at Fossil, and save yourself a good chunk of cash.

Thanks for that, keeping my options open :)

Got my Bling watch on this week - when I ordered it - it was shown as all chrome but when it came it had gold bit's on it so don't wear it much - I have a habit of wearing different watch each week starting on a Monday - no point in having them if you don't wear them. All Seiko's and one Citizen Solar.

The trouble with this watch is white face and gold hands make it very difficult to read the time. - doesn't look like it in photo (sorry for potato quality) Got my lamp to close.

My Breitling and Archimede are special occasions

Are Christopher ward watches reccomended guys? Some nice designs, particularly the trident collection. Thinking of buying one at circa £700.00. But a few Tissot models have caught my eye too in that bracket. I know the latter are Swiss made which even at entry level carries a bit more clout name wise. Buy the cw' models do look a lot better. I'm mostly interested in diver style watches at present.
