That's absolutely stunning, love the bezel lume. What case size are they? I sometimes wish I opted for a Speedy, PO over my seamaster due to the size.

Are Christopher ward watches reccomended guys? Some nice designs, particularly the trident collection. Thinking of buying one at circa £700.00. But a few Tissot models have caught my eye too in that bracket. I know the latter are Swiss made which even at entry level carries a bit more clout name wise. Buy the cw' models do look a lot better. I'm mostly interested in diver style watches at present.

Its a yes and no answer. I have a couple of limited edition CW quartz watches which i picked up for £99 each in one of their sales a few years while their prices were still reasonable. Recently they have upped their prices across the board which a few folk here think is a bit too much for the quality you're getting.

Can you link the watch you're looking at?

What don't you like about your PO? The thickness? (Assuming 8500)

Sorry, I didn't word that particularly well - had a few beers last night!

I've got a SMPc but now wish I went with a speedy or PO. When I was shopping for one the larger cased pieces felt a bit cumbersome but after giving the seamaster some wrist time I think it wears much smaller than I initially thought.

If you like it and going to keep it, CW are a good choice. Some people think they're too pricey for what they are, but then that just about sums up almost every Swiss watch :P.

My new (to me) 25yr old Seiko 7002-7000 A1, I was initially after a SKX007 but preferred this one without the day window, looks neater IMHO.

Not the best of photos I'm afraid but then I'm not the best photographer, even my trusty old Sony RX100 Mk1 can't save me...

This is the one I've considered.

I'm new to watches so don't have the experience of many others here. But I have done a fair amount of reading and research recently. £700 is a difficult price band to spend on a new watch; it is enough money to be 'painful' to spend, but still not enough to get a true luxury watch. If it were my money I would consider either the Steinhart Ocean One Black at half the price (it looks very similar and many people on here have one although it is mostly silver of course), or consider a used watch in the £700 band instead. You will get a much better watch on the used market if you choose carefully, and it will be worth roughly the same if you ever want to sell it.

Obviously if the CW is exactly the watch you really want then go for it :)

The steinhart ocean one is indeed a great looking watch, and the price isn't too bad either. I'll have a look at the used market too.

Very nice, really fancy one of these.

Just be aware that the Steinhart O1 is a "homage" to a Rolex Submariner. It's not just a cheap copy and is clearly branded as a Steinhart. But just be aware of it in case that's something you wanted to avoid.

Yep, I've heard that mentioned on a few watch forums and fb groups.
