What watch do you wear?

Reds not my favourite colour tbh, although it's a nice looking watch...

The dark blue one is really a standout watch. looks so elegant in the flesh. I didn't get the same feeling with any of the other colours when seeing them in person, even though they all look good.

Be wary though, the lume really is quite poor on them for a dive watch. If you're not concerned about losing the warranty, then you can send it away to be re-lumed for around £100 , maybe more. I opted for blue BGW9 and green for the minute marker and bezel pip.

This was my old one:

I'm in love with that Tudor watch, fantastic looking watch dude.

The Pelagos? It is my favourite dive watch. It wasn't cheap compared to anything I've bought before, but it's with me for life! I still want a dress watch, and the hamilton Navy Pioneer is still at the top of my want list!

See they have smaller numerals now at 12, 9 and 6 on the latest version of the hydroconquest. Good to see above to that it can be had for around £720.00. Most stores are retailing at £790.00 so pretty good saving.

Thanks mrk! Out of interest how much was the Tudor?

Thanks

Got my old 6309 back from the watchmakers last week after being serviced. They stated that they couldnt guarantee that it would work so refunded the £75.00 charge. Yet ive worn it quite a lot over the last week and it has ran great.

Did consider getting it relumed as it's nowhere near as bright as my modern seiko's. To be expected though on a watch thats almost thirty years old. Jubilee bracelet was a doddle to resize too compared to modern seiko oyster style ones.

The last watch i would buy would be an OMEGA. Their are to many knock offs around that no one will believe its a real one. Get a £10 casio watch that will keep just as good a time and you wont be bothered if it got lost.

Are there many people in the watch collecting community that really care if people think their watches are fake?

What does what other people think have anything to do with it? If they want to think a watch is fake, that's their problem. You as the wearer know its authenticity, and that's all that matters.

I got this Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean for my birthday, I've wanted one for years!

My favourite modern Omega by a long way. Cracking piece.

...

They sound like a very decent watchmaker to admit that and refund the charge (though I only ever pay after the work has been completed!).
