A wedding gift from my now wife:

Nice and simple just like me :D

Not bad, for a Tag -- I usually don't like them!

I've also bought a new watch -- a vintage 1967 Bulova Accutron, should receive it tomorrow if the post office does it job properly.

Was walking past a cash converters yesterday, normally don't give them the time of day as it's usually drug users stuff / stolen etc lol, however, a watch in the window caught my eye, it was was only £59.99, at the time i tohught nothing of it, and carried on shopping elsewhere, i went looking at watches for my 40th in a jewellers, and saw the same watch i had just looked at in the jewellers for £200, and again in a different jewellers, so curiosity got the better of me and i found myself inside :o cash converters looking at the watch, it's brand new, still got the protective film on the back!, needless to say, i bought it, i've advertised to sell it for £120 on the facebook pages etc and had an offer for asking price on shpock, but i kind of like it.

It's £128 brand new, with warranty. If someone offered asking price, then sell it to them, then add a bit more and get an actual watch rather than a quartz designer watch! It's for your 40th, so you probably want something half decent. Seiko have plenty of automatic watches in that price range, all of them infinitely better, and will almost certainly last longer.

Well I see where he's coming from guys -- remember your first watch? It was likely a bit blingy, and a bargain. I know mine was!

it is a 'designer' (aka china) quartz (aka cheap) watch, but here's someone who's trying -- it's a bit of a statement.

But, I also agree, shift it quick and buy something like a Seiko, or a Citizen!

Here's the latest for me. 1967 Accutron, with 2 bracelets. Couple of nearly invisble marks on the crystal. I think it looks awesome (even if a notch small, as most vintages are)!

My first was indeed a bit of a blingy casio chrono, followed shortly by a red arrows citizen. Former is gone and the latter is up for sale. Saving a few quid for a longines hydroconquest. Still undecided on wether to go for the red bezel with black dial or the all blue.

red-red-red-red-red-red-red-red :-)

It's on my list, I think /that/ red is very nice on a bezel...

I've seen pics of a white dial red bezel model, which looked fantastic. Couldn't ind it for sale anywhere though. Christopher ward had a similar trident model a while back which looked pretty good too.

I never bought it to keep, it's £200 in most jewellers

I'm looking at an Omega seamaster diver for my 40th ;)

I love my red arrows sky-hawk and don't think i will shift it ever :) Its such a great day to day beater!

I have had watches that other really don't like (and still do!), its was just that particular watch that really made me feel a bit eurgh! If anything, thats part of the appeal to me, everyone is different!

I am still waiting for the Obris Morgan explorer 2 to do a new run. Love that watch!

If the watch has stopped and you took the watch off it most likely will not need a service. I'm a Watchmaker myself. Look around online. Panerai's do not need to go back to Panerai.
