What watch do you wear?

Looking for a new strap for this watch. Fell off my MTB last year, tore the strap and lost the spring pin. Missed wearing it so bought a new spring pin but the strap isn't going to last to much longer.

Question is, what do I get for it? Would like to move away from leather and get maybe silicone or nato? Colour? Some suggestions would be great :)

I've got two:
A Seiko SRP043K2 "Spork" that I bought on a whim but got fed up having to reset the time every Monday morning as it stopped over the weekend as it is an automatic watch (I hardly ever wear this watch now).
And a Seiko Prospex Solar SNE437P1 that I wear on a NATO strap which I wear almost daily.

Loads of really high quality options but do note that good quality straps cost between around £15 and £40 depending on type/material etc. If it's something you wear every day and want a similar style of strap to what you currently have, just better lasting and you can easily clean it as such, then silicone 2 piece or full NATO or one piece. I have tried them all over the years and really like the ZULIDIVER one piece NATOs (most can be converted to full as they have springbar hardware so you can take off what you don't want to use) or a silicone 2 piece. You could also transplant your stock strap buckle to the new strap and make it look all OEM as well if you wished.

A Tropik style rubber strap is kind of the go-to for regular wear: https://www.watchgecko.com/vintage-tropical-style-rubber-watch-strap-by-zuludiver

This NATO one piece is amazing quality and probably the ideal thickness given your watch too: https://www.watchgecko.com/zuludiver-298-one-piece-rubber-watch-strap

Or for something a little thinner, then the 328 is also excellent and has the springbar hardware so converts to one piece like the one above: https://www.watchgecko.com/zuludiver-328-italian-waterproof-rubber-nato-watch-strap-bonetto

Both the above have Italian silicone smell which is like vanilla. The smell will never wear off no matter how many times you wash the strap which is great as it's really a soothing fragrance lol.

If those aren't to fancy, then take a look at the others Watchgecko sell as the vast majority are of high quality, just choose your style

Thank you for the suggestions. Seems they don't have much for 23mm lug width which is a shame as vanilla scented silicone sounds great :D

That is a very irritating width.

This lot have some 23mm NATO options https://www.watchgecko.com/nato-zulu-watch-straps?custom_strap_size_watch=34

Have a look around for discount codes too - they always have them floating about the place. I think even just typing their shop name into the discount box gave 10% off before.

Sure is but I am sure I will find/decide on something eventually.

Oh, I stand corrected. Quite a strange size.

It's ok, new arrival and I am going to blame mrk and his beautiful photos for this. Will be easier to find a different strap for this one.

Happy Fathers day to me!

I am over the moon with this, my first automatic. After seeing mrk's pictures I looked into the Coniston and loved everything behind the watch and the brand. Serial number 347.

Ahhh that's great to hear

I can't stop looking at mine, just one of those watches that want to be eyeballed every other moment!

Barton Elite strap came today for the Coniston and just as with the Morar's Military Green version,, really comfortable and transplanted the Marloe buckle over to keep things factory looking but will likely polish up the Barton buckle as it's a bit thicker. Can't do the same with the green one as the Morar buckle is bronze plated and suits best

Quick release springbars are also

Funnily enough I have been in exactly the same situation as you. I was even considering selling my Planet Ocean and getting a much cheaper watch to wear as needed. I've never felt that way before and it is weird I have to say.
I normally love wearing my watches but over the past few months I have not reallly been wearing many at all.
Exactly the same for me. I’m usually looking forward to wearing them but since mid March they have not moved from my watch box. I haven’t even bothered watching any watch YouTube vids or web sites either.

In other news, I can highly recommend Barton Bands Elite Silicone as had one of my two arrive today. I will have to see how longevity fairs though but initial impressions are very positive and they have a combination of features not found on other silicone straps like the quick release spring bars, inclusion of two lengths of main strap, choice of top side and underside colour combinations, a locking keeper which slots into the tab of the excess strap when worn so the keeper doesn't slip off needing re-adjustment throughout the day (those who wear rubber straps will know the feeling). The photos online make these seem quite thick but they are nice and thin and very very soft with a slight wrist curve at the lug end.

I have had several of the Barton Elite bands and I really like them just for the easy care and choice you get. Just be careful of the little band retaining loops to keep the excess strap tight to your wrist once it is on. I've had a few of them break or tear. Granted I can be quite heavy handed but taking a regularly worn watch on and off... I think that's the failure point on these straps.

Aye I have been taking close look around both mine today to see where the point of failure could be as have heard about a few people having splits etc. The keepers are as thick as the ZULUDIVER ones I've had from Watchgecko but whilst the ZULU ones are Italian natural silicone rubber, these are synthetic so may tear a bit easier with tougher use at a guess. I'll keep an eye on it as the months go on.

The Coniston? Go for it  They're a limited run so if you really want one, best get one sooner as once they're gone it's only the used corner you'll find one if one crops up.For 300 quid IMO it's a bargain for what you are getting.

Edit*

I swear I did not see this strap option before hence ordering the plain dark blue Barton one but they have a blue on top red underneath dual tone version which I think will suit the watch as the dial has a little red marker on the seconds hand.

Thoughts?!

Analogue and classic digital, now all sorted
