Looking for a new strap for this watch. Fell off my MTB last year, tore the strap and lost the spring pin. Missed wearing it so bought a new spring pin but the strap isn't going to last to much longer.
Question is, what do I get for it? Would like to move away from leather and get maybe silicone or nato? Colour? Some suggestions would be great

Loads of really high quality options but do note that good quality straps cost between around £15 and £40 depending on type/material etc. If it's something you wear every day and want a similar style of strap to what you currently have, just better lasting and you can easily clean it as such, then silicone 2 piece or full NATO or one piece. I have tried them all over the years and really like the ZULIDIVER one piece NATOs (most can be converted to full as they have springbar hardware so you can take off what you don't want to use) or a silicone 2 piece. You could also transplant your stock strap buckle to the new strap and make it look all OEM as well if you wished.
A Tropik style rubber strap is kind of the go-to for regular wear: https://www.watchgecko.com/vintage-tropical-style-rubber-watch-strap-by-zuludiver
This NATO one piece is amazing quality and probably the ideal thickness given your watch too: https://www.watchgecko.com/zuludiver-298-one-piece-rubber-watch-strap
Or for something a little thinner, then the 328 is also excellent and has the springbar hardware so converts to one piece like the one above: https://www.watchgecko.com/zuludiver-328-italian-waterproof-rubber-nato-watch-strap-bonetto
Both the above have Italian silicone smell which is like vanilla. The smell will never wear off no matter how many times you wash the strap which is great as it's really a soothing fragrance lol.
If those aren't to fancy, then take a look at the others Watchgecko sell as the vast majority are of high quality, just choose your style![]()
Are you sure 23mm? That's a very odd size.
That is a very irritating width.

This lot have some 23mm NATO options https://www.watchgecko.com/nato-zulu-watch-straps?custom_strap_size_watch=34
Have a look around for discount codes too - they always have them floating about the place. I think even just typing their shop name into the discount box gave 10% off before.
Oh, I stand corrected. Quite a strange size.
Sure is but I am sure I will find/decide on something eventually.
It's ok, new arrival and I am going to blame mrk and his beautiful photos for this. Will be easier to find a different strap for this one.
Happy Fathers day to me!
I am over the moon with this, my first automatic. After seeing mrk's pictures I looked into the Coniston and loved everything behind the watch and the brand. Serial number 347.
Exactly the same for me. I’m usually looking forward to wearing them but since mid March they have not moved from my watch box. I haven’t even bothered watching any watch YouTube vids or web sites either.Funnily enough I have been in exactly the same situation as you. I was even considering selling my Planet Ocean and getting a much cheaper watch to wear as needed. I've never felt that way before and it is weird I have to say.
I normally love wearing my watches but over the past few months I have not reallly been wearing many at all.
In other news, I can highly recommend Barton Bands Elite Silicone as had one of my two arrive today. I will have to see how longevity fairs though but initial impressions are very positive and they have a combination of features not found on other silicone straps like the quick release spring bars, inclusion of two lengths of main strap, choice of top side and underside colour combinations, a locking keeper which slots into the tab of the excess strap when worn so the keeper doesn't slip off needing re-adjustment throughout the day (those who wear rubber straps will know the feeling). The photos online make these seem quite thick but they are nice and thin and very very soft with a slight wrist curve at the lug end.
Love the introI thought he'd stopped doing watch videos but guess not! This was cool:
