What watch do you wear?

What's the general feeling on a Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph, particularly the 43mm (slim wrists), are they decent watches?

My date Sub is for nice occasions and I wear my '64 Omega Seamaster Deville as a daily. However I'd like something nice to mix things up a bit. I've my name down on a GMTII that might never materialise and the only other watch Ive always liked is the Navitimer. I know it looks a bit busy, but I really do like it. It won't be to everyone's taste, but it would be nice to know if they are reliable and well made.

It's a lovely watch and an icon at the same time. If you like it go for it my friend, you won't be disappointed ;)

I really like the classic/vintage style of chronos like these, a taste that has changed over the years as wasn't a huge fan in the past. The jet black Maen though is close in style to a Speedmaster which is really nice too but this is sized a bit better and of course not Omega £ whilst still being all Swiss and automatic.

I've pretty much decided on the Dan Henry though as it's cheap enough to just have that classic chrono in the collection which realistically is all I'm after and the rest of the £ gets put towards a serious watch such as a Grand Seiko.

What are peoples thoughts on this?
Titainium, 43mm, eco-drive.

Dual dial looks a little overkill and busy! Still, its you who will be looking at it so if it makes you happy, go for it!
Also, not that ive handled one, but Titanium can feel light and appear 'cheap/fake'.

Best try in person, 43mm is large.

I just got my first watch since I was a teenager in the 80's. Not a nice posh and expensive one, just a smart watch. I'm not really sure why though. They seem a little out dated now, even with smart features. Everyone has a phone these days which give much more functionality. I guess to some it's a status symbol, to me it was a new toy which I am already pretty bored of.

It's nice to have though as it tracks my steps even when I don't carry my phone and it does have some health measuring devices on it.

Might not be the thread for it, but here goes.

Samsung are due to launch the Galaxy Watch 3 on August 5th. Based on some leaked videos I've seen on Youtube where the watch has been unveiled/unboxed in full before the official launch I think it's time for me to get a smart watch.

They are launching a 41mm and 45mm size. Functionally they will be the same, but the larger one will have a longer battery.

My Wrist size is 18cm / 7"

Do you think I can get away with the larger one or will it look too big?

Thanks Chewie. I think I'll go for it, once I decide between bracelet vs leather strap. So many decisions!
I'm personally not a fan of the watch, that aside though I'd recommend getting the bracelet and you can always get and fit a leather strap later as often cheaper third party alternatives are available. Getting a bracelet after the fact would be much more of a pain really.

E: Just realised I quoted the wrong person when mentioning the watch, thought you were the guy asking about the blue one. Well, advice still stands...get the bracelet and get a leather strap after.

OMG!!! Barton strap arrived today (finally)!! Only issues is, I ordered a Pumpkin orange top / black bottom. I received an all black one with orange sides, boo. It feels very comfy though @mrk so thanks for the suggestion, and it fits very well with the 'shorter' strap.

Still intrigued!

Dan Henry are really nice looking, I'd like a 62 but they only come with leather strap which is a no no as vegetarian (yes I know I can't eat it :D), Maen is pretty too but also pretty pricey and £900 I'd be expecting Sapphire and bracelet as standard not optional regardless of the movement, maybe get one if they do a sale ?

On a side note I've been in hospital the last 4 days (not covid related fortunately) and my Pulsar Kinetic has been comfortably ticking away in my absence, really surprised after 10 years it's still going strong although I imagine I'll need a capacitor replacement in the next year or 2 but for a £50 watch it's been really good value

Absolutely gorgeous. I was looking at one of them or a speedmaster 57 for my 50th. Ended up with the speedmaster but I've still got a hankering for the breitling.
At the time Ernest Jones were offering 20% off list, not sure if they'll do that now.

Just got my first proper watch chaps...

44mm case Omega Seamaster Chrono 300m. This is now out of production (or so Omega say but they can still be ordered in for the moment), this was an 'ex-demo' model which I got for £3050 at a local jewellers with full Omega warranty etc. Very happy with it and a welcome upgrade from my £200 Seiko!

Hmm wonder if I'll get your pumpkin then lol as my one was black and orange! We can swap if that's the case :D

Yeah think I got customs as all 3 were one package this time instead if individual. Shame!

You're right even though the movement and labour work on it commands a premium, sapphire and bracelet should still be standard tbh.

Dan Henry it is! Not right away though as got other things higher in the list :D

An exciting piece for sure. I think that may be one of the few mechanical chronographs that can be actuated whilst underwater due to the pusher design. Not something of much use to many people, but very cool nonetheless (but also worth double checking with Omega as it could be a different reference!).

Hi folks, I have a relatively cheap Seiko 5 automatic that I've had for about 6 years. Recently it seems particularly bad at keeping time and ends up slow within a few days of being set right. I've just taken a close look at the back and things are moving but there's an odd black stain or something visible, anyone know what that might be and if it's an indication something is broken?

Not sure it's even worth getting it serviced/repaired considering it was £45, but I like it so if it's cheap to fix I might as well do it.
