What watch do you wear?

Dan Henry it is! Not right away though as got other things higher in the list :D

I really like that Dan Henry with the White Panda bi with the bracelet! Keen to see yours when you get it.

Hmm wonder if I'll get your pumpkin then lol as my one was black and orange! We can swap if that's the case :D

Yeah think I got customs as all 3 were one package this time instead if individual. Shame

Haha that would be funny if that is the case! I have contacted them, maybe they will let me keep it. I don't mind it tbh but I wanted orange :D

P.S Sorry if everyone is bored of seeing my Aqua Terra. It is the only watch I have apart from a scuffed to hell Seiko 5 and a cheap watch from thailand (unbranded).

Lasser Gents Jump Hour Swiss Watch Circa 1970s

Hudson Instalite Gents Jump Hour Swiss Watch Circa 1970s

1980s Vintage Football Diego Maradona Quartz Watch Mystery Dial Italy

Nothing fancy, certainly smaller than the two Longines i usually wear but something quirky for my collection :)

What's on the list ? I shouldn't be asking as I'm trying very hard to not buy anything else right now so don't want temptation but I keep looking at watch deals, was close to buying a Zelos Swordfish 40mm last week when they were released but fortunately they all sold out in a few hours

An exciting piece for sure. I think that may be one of the few mechanical chronographs that can be actuated whilst underwater due to the pusher design. Not something of much use to many people, but very cool nonetheless (but also worth double checking with Omega as it could be a different reference!).
Thanks. Yes you are correct - the manual says "Exception : The Seamaster 300m and 600m Chronographs have pushers which function under water." I will be putting this into use!!

The list consists of non watch things I need lol. Realistically there are only 2 more watches I'll be buying, the Dan Henry and a Grand Seiko. The cheapest one first of course :p

Hi folks, I have a relatively cheap Seiko 5 automatic that I've had for about 6 years. Recently it seems particularly bad at keeping time and ends up slow within a few days of being set right. I've just taken a close look at the back and things are moving but there's an odd black stain or something visible, anyone know what that might be and if it's an indication something is broken?

Not sure it's even worth getting it serviced/repaired considering it was £45, but I like it so if it's cheap to fix I might as well do it.

There's nothing in the movement that can leak like that, and can't be lubricant as that's not black! Maybe ball bearing grease from the winding rotor perhaps?

Will be collecting mine from RM tomorrow morning so will find out. That does look cool though. There's no way they will want you to ship that back they will almost certainly just send out a new correct one as it would be cheaper for them.

If you're going to go oddball you may as well go full tilt :D

I'll sort some other pics out tomorrow. Had a wee change of plan so won't be disappearing till Monday.

Don't think I'd wear the last 2 but the first one certainly, pretty cool  There's something Mork & Mindy about the last one though!

Picked up the Barton straps today from RM, £15.85 customs fee. It was indeed because the total package cost was over £15/$15. Ah well, next time I'll order one by one.

I like the new colourways but think I prefer the green+black most on the Morar. I do like the blue and red on the Coniston though as the red goes well with the seconds hand head. I've asked Marloe if I can get a spare signed buckle to fit on this strap just so everything is matching.

I don't think I'll be wearing the middle one, that was just a random one since it was a maradonna watch! Even has its orignal tag on the clasp. Good shout on the Mork and Mindy feel about the third one though :D Out of the three the first one is certainly the stand out in my opinion. Might try to get a different strap for it though.

Finally finished a watch i started making 5 years ago ,started learning how to service watches around 6 years ago and decided to make my own , got all the parts in then my hyper-active thyroid kicked in and made my hands shake like i had parkinsons so put a stop to it untill recently.

Only way i could photo the carbon dial was with a flash so excuse the crappy photo.

Hi all

A question for you watch buyers/lovers. Im after this: https://www.cartier.co.uk/en-gb/col.../tank/tank-solo/w5200014-tank-solo-watch.html

Whats the best way/place to get some discount from the RRP?

I think @Rotty is your man for getting info on receiving a discount on the RRP. I remember him posting things a while back where he hasn't paid full price. Not sure if its just from your average high street shop of a specific dealer he's used previously?

Fair play for making your own watch. I tried dismantling an old watch a while ago and to this day I still have no idea where in the room the old screws flew off to after something inside popped open :o Do you have any progress pics of the watch or just the final ones?

Not of this one , but am just about to build a Flieger Nav B with a 1953 Molnija 3608 , just waiting for a couple of stems to come from Russia , will do some photos of a service and build of that one.

My first dismantling of a £200 ETA 6498 didnt start well either , lost the pallet fork and click spring.
