Here's how :)

Come on dude you've got to at least try, I have never seen a Haf X before but I somehow feel like after 3 seconds on Google I know more than you...

You're not doing anything that you wont be able to find pictures of online. If you want help with specs or what not then shout out :)

Yes,
I have a black ice stealth gt tri rad ( not used it in months,
ek supreme cpu block ( not used it in months )
phobya 250 balancer
EK-DCP 4.0
compresion fittings.

The res needs to be at the top under the letters 'Res' yeah not on the bottom right where there appears to be a picture of a res...

Is there enough room height wise to get a triple rad/tube res/pump in there?

The res needs to feed the pump and the res wouldn't be too happy being top filled like that anyway (and how would you fill it to start with?).

You're probably best to grab one of these and and bung the pump/res combo in the 5.25 bay.

No, I mean get one of these and mount it on your pump and stick it in the drive bays :)
YOUR BASKET
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-DCP 4.0 X-RES £38.99
Total : £42.90 (includes shipping : £3.26).

I think your images underestimate the size of that 250 res. I have the 150 version and it's in the same position as your diagram 1. It'd be clashing with the rear case fan if it was as tall as yours and you would be unable to mount it there.

Your 2nd diagram could work though.

I don't have any spare bay drives, also the item you have suggested is a bit pricey for me.
Here are the real images, sorry about the quality.

Cheers.

I forgot about the original res clamps. I use different ones that don't wrap around and they put the res closer to whatever it's screwed into.

If you use the res vertically, don't have the inlet at the top. That's where you fill and bleed it, so use one of the lower ports by just running the tube down the side into a 90° fitting.

Horizontal looks like it could work with a couple of 90° fittings.
