Chicken can smell fine but trust me, once you cook it for about 20-30min if its off, it smells real bad.
It happened to me the other day, had some chicken breast in the fridge that had been open about 3 days and needed cooking.
After 25min the smell had me ralphing all over the place the smell was bloody awful.
Bacon the same, it can smell ok but 5-10 min cooking and it smells rank as hell.
Not sure on meat? Cook for 5 to 30min if it smells bad it is bad.![]()
