Throw it out, the only time i've ever had food poisoning was a ham sandwich being in a fridge for 2 days that had been turned off at work. It's one thing wondering if something is OK to eat a day or two out of date and another entirely when it's been sitting at bacteria thriving temperatures for a couple of days.

As mentioned in the opening post I'd already taken what I thought was the correct action, I was just wondering what GD would have done.

They won't take it. No audit trail to say that it hasn't been out of the cold chain for more than 20 minutes. Could leave them in a law suit if someone got ill from eating it.

Saying "use your nose" is all well and good but if I'm looking/smelling for something to be off it's very hard to judge. On this occasion I would just bin it. It's not worth getting ill over some cheap supermarket chicken.
