What would make you leave or use the forum less often?

Ironically, I'd post more if OcUK ran Discourse. A tech forum that doesn't support inline code, markdown and the like?!... :p I realise this is actually much more of a gamer/home-PC type forum than a proper technical one, but still - there are subforums (Linux, Enterprise) where it would be bloody useful. Their absence makes proper, actually technical posts harder to parse, and the resulting posts are often ugly and hard to digest.

The ad/promo in the top right header box has been broken on Firefox since the forum software change, causing the '$(username) Inbox Alerts' section to be pushed off towards the centre. Thankfully uBO fixes that (by removing it). I reported it on the bugs thread when the change was first made, but alas nothing was done to fix it.

Not a firefox issue, it happens with chromium. It's an issue with the dark theme.

edit: dammit feek  :p

It would require another forum to be a better place to waste time than this one.

It's always active here and it doesn't matter if it's Coffee, F1, Boxing, Motorbikes, buying a house or anything obscure, this if often my first port of call.

Oh that was four years ago, I've lost interest since then :D

However, that displays perfectly on the dark theme in Safari.

Get a decent browser ;)

As I said in the linked OP, I tested it in Safari, Chrome and Edge (the latter of which is/was also broken). We're back to SpecSavers old man. ;)

Edit: In all seriousness, when stuff like this occurs it's usually because Firefox is standards compliant and other browsers (namely Chrom*) aren't. The little advert/box has been happily blocked for years so no rush on my account! Just pointing it out as the chance arose.

I love this place. Where else other than GD can you witness such a bunch of middle age man-babies getting all angry about things they don't understand?

Daily Mail comments, GBeebies, local Weatherspoons, most trades men overheard working on the job etc etc

It's a mixture of boredom and habit that keeps most people here. When I'm active I don't think of going on the internet.
